CLOSE UP This navy coat has a softer shoulder and more Italian-styled sleeve head. However, I would not go so far to call this a neopoliton shoulder, as it doesn't have the little bits of puckering at the top of the sleeve. My personal preference for shoulder and sleeve head remains in the English tradition with a roped shoulder, although mine is not usually as exaggerated as some. Recently I've had multiple client's ask for a softer shoulder and Italian styled sleeve head. I'm wondering if it's because it is more familiar as it is what dominates the ready-to-wear market. I'm curious to know what you all prefer?
