I’m answering this one ooc, but Shadowy definitely starts developing his madness from power first and the desire for more power. But the madness really starts to set in when he doesn’t have much more to do and boredom certainly has a lot to do with that.

The shadowy entity gave his alter ego a quick internal shove before acknowledging his little questioner. Usual sharp toothed grin flashed over pale features and he lightly tapped his fingertips against the side of his jaw.
