Are two and Mar ever getting engaged (they should)
Soda pulled out the note and tilted his head.
“Hhhm. Hey, Pone, you know anything about Two and that soc girl he's got?”
“Marcia? I know of 'em.” Ponyboy looked up from his notebook. “What about it?”
Soda shrugs, and smiles a bit. “You hear if they're plannin' to get hitched anytime soon?”
“Oh, brother.” Ponyboy rolls his eyes playfully. “Seems like all Two-Bit does talk about it. Yet he still avoids her. You should see how sad Marcia gets at school, though.”
Soda nods, staring at the note again. “Hm...So I'll take that as a maybe.”
Ponyboy raises his eyebrow. “Was that the question?”
“Yeah!” Soda shows Ponyboy the note. “I mean, I already knew Two yapped about it quite a bit. But, whether if they actually are...?”
Ponyboy hummed. “Yeah, I get what yer sayin'.”
Tough to say. Two-Bit does a lot of talking and not a lot of doin'. He and Marcia are goin' steady, and as far as I know he talks to his mama about her a lot too.
I think they should too, though! Really, I mean you should see how cute of a couple they are!
I mean, they ain't exactly the most PUBLIC relationship... they keep behind closed doors a whole lot. Socs n' greasers being together is still frowned upon.
But I sure hope some day Two takes that ring he got from his mama and puts it on Marcia's finger some day. We'll party like no other when that happens!
