♖ Childhood headcanon: Marina was born and spent the early years of her life on the sea, living on the cruise ships that her family owned. She had [and still has] a strong imagination for mythology and fables based on the sea. As a little girl, she’d often stare out at the sea for hours at a time on ‘mermaid hunts’.

↹ Best Friend headcanon: She’s never known anyone she totally trusts well enough to call a best friend. With life on the sea and constantly moving around, she never got to know any one person well enough before she had to leave them and move on again.

☮ Embarrassing headcanon: When she was fourteen she stole a bottle of her grandfather’s rum because she thought it’d be cool to drink it and feel like a pirate. She ended up getting really drunk, stumbling out into the fancy private dinner her parents were hosting and making a fool of herself in front of all the guests.
