I’ve been kicking around some ideas for a Gundam SEED AU where Athrun is a woman named Athena Zala and she and Kira end up together in the end.

But that begs the question: who’s Athena’s unwanted arranged marriage partner?

Because I feel like the funny and politically plausible answer is “Yzak” but the *Morosawa* answer is “Nicol”.
