Back To School with Chaco: Chaco Z/Cloud 2 Review
Hey guys! Today, I’m going to be reviewing the Chaco Z/Cloud 2 sandals. Now, I’ve heard of and seen Chaco sandals before. I know a lot of people who have them and swear by them. You see them the most when it’s summer here in Georgia. Everyone and their mother has them on their feet, so I wanted to see if these sandals were worth the hype or not.
The Z/Cloud 2 sandals are supposed to be like the Classic Z/2 sandals, but the Z/Cloud 2 sandals have a podiatrist-certified LUVSEAT PU footbed for all-day comfort and support. This isn’t my first pair of hiking, outdoorsy sandals. I have sandals by another brand and love them so much, but these are my first pair of Chaco sandals. Since this is my first pair, I don’t know how the Classic Z/2 sandals feel and can’t compare the two.
When I got these sandals, I could feel how durable the sandals are. They feel so sturdy and feel like the sole won’t bend on you, which is great! When I first put these shoes on and wore them for some time, I noticed two things. The first was that the footbed did not feel like “a cloud” or super cushiony underneath my feet. The second thing was that the longer I had them on my feet, the more they started to hurt. It was like my feet had too much support. I woke up the next day and my feet hurt so bad. Is there such thing of having too much arch support in shoes? Well, it is if you’re flat footed. Haha! A tip to help with wearing these sandals more comfortably beside breaking them in and wearing them everywhere (which I highly recommend doing) is loosening the straps and then tightening them to your feet. Guys, loosening and tightening the straps to my feet was a game changer for me. Haha, but seriously it was like I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. After I did that, my feet started to feel so much better. It took maybe like a week to fully break these in (which is common with Chacos apparently) and be able to wear them comfortably without feeling like marbles were poking underneath my arches.
Overall:
Honestly, I’m happy with these shoes overall! They weren’t what I was expecting, but after getting used to them and breaking them in they ended up being really comfortable. I wear these shoes all of the time! They are easy to slip on. These shoes make a great back to school essential to wear whether you’re walking across campus, going on field trips, hiking, or even if you’re going on theme park trips. I definitely plan on wearing these across campus whenever I’m in a sandal-ly mood. Chaco sandals are a great alternative to sneakers. They provide support for your feet and the straps on the shoes keep your feet locked in place while allowing your feet to breathe. Sometimes, your feet need a breather. I really like that Chaco offers a variety of colors to choose from to fit various personalities and styles. Whether you want a statement sandal or a sandal that pretty much goes with everything, Chaco has options for you. The Chaco Z/Cloud 2 Sandals retail for around $110. You can get yourself a pair through the Chaco website or click here to find a store near you.
