Since pokemon sun and moon are coming out, does that mean I’m not canon?
Zygarde and “Z” version speculation
In case you haven't heard or been living under a rock, CoroCoro revealed a teaser image] for the next Pokemon film coming in 2016 which featured a large silhouette of possibly a new Pokemon form. At first I thought it was some giant mecha of some sort and thought noting of it, but then I noticed its signature 3 glowing diamond shaped eyes and immediately thought of Zygarde. Furthermore the frills on Zygarde back resemble the shape and position of the silhouette, and the large shoulder pads(?) are hexagonal in shape which matches Zygarde's hexagonal pattern. Also Zygrde's arm(?) tendrils look like they could possibly branch out into appendages in a way that resembles the silhouette's. But that's the part that you already know, everyone has been waiting for Zygarde to make its debut. What we don't know is Zygarde's role in the new Z version (I'm calling it Z for simplicity's sake). Team Flare will no doubt play a role with Zygarde, and if you recall, their goal is to "create a beautiful and better world (while making money)". Their leader Lysandre originally wanted to help the world, but became convinced that humans were the cause for all what was wrong with the world (using up all its resources, space and beauty) and resulted in attempting to annihilate humans and Pokemon (to his own dismay) in order to create a "clean slate". For Lysandre, he could see what the future was if the human population were to continue growing at its current rate; resources will be scarce, people will be fighting over what little is left, and the earth would be a barren wasteland. In a sense he and Team Flare were actually extremist environmentalists who want to preserve the earth's natural state and beauty. But why Team Flare and not Team Fern? Because although fire is a tool for destruction, it is also the ultimate cleanser as it wipes away all mistakes in a sense that new life will grow after a forest fire burns everything. Back to Zygarde; its Pokedex entry states "It's hypothesized that it's monitoring those who destroy the ecosystem from deep in the cave where it lives" and "When the Kalos region's ecosystem falls into disarray, it appears and reveals its secret power". This "secret power" could very well be the silhouette in a larger and more powerful form. Zygarde is also known as the "Order Pokemon", so it could be said that when humans have changed the landscape and environment of Kalos to a point where damage is being done, Zygarde will awaken with it full power and bring balance and order back to the ecosystem. This would keep in line with Team Flare and Lysandre's goals of returning the world back to its natural state of beauty, and in Z either use Zygarde in the same way that they used Xerneas/Yveltal to power up their weapon and afterwards it unleashes its power, or they will take the route of Team Magma/Aqua and attempt to aid Zygarde in awakening its true power in order to bring back order and put humanity in check. As for recent reports of a small green and black like creature appearing at the end of most recent Pokemon movie staring Hoopa, it could be some part of Zygarde that is uses to monitor the ecosystem, but we'll have to wait for more information and the countless screenshots taken by American audiences when the movie comes to the States because Americans don't give a crap about copyright laws or pirating images/videos.
