New favourite video artist - Ericka Beckman. Her solo exhibition at the Zabludowicz Collection in London was really great and I wish I’d discovered her work while I was at art uni, but it’s better late than never!

I loved the mix of handmade aesthetics with stop motion, the imagination of what a virtual world would be like (Hiatus, 1999/2015), the subtle humour and subversion, and the way Beckman uses things like arcade games to tell a story (Cinderella, 1986). And just the absurdity of it all - especially in Switch Centre (2003).

The show’s on until 8 July and it’s free, so if you’re in or around London and love VR, art, or games - go and see it!
