Once Disney darling ~
I can’t hear a highschool musical song without laughing, because. It’s like they chose the worst possible path. If you write a musical where the male lead is a tenor, you should…probably cast a tenor as the male lead. And if, for some reason, you cast a baritone instead, then yeah he’s not going to be able to sing it. And I guess the choice to dub his songs makes sense, but once you decide to dub, the world is your oyster. You can get someone with a voice that’s, like, pleasant to listen to. Or, I guess, you can also get a member of a failed boy band that no one’s ever heard of because he happened to help write a single song in the soundtrack.
Why did they not just cast someone who could sing the part. Why did they force Zach Efron to sing a part outside his range and then erase all of his hard work. Why didn’t they choose someone who was actually good to voice over Zach. Surely someone must have realized this was not a good series of decisions.
