do you think zaied actually showed some mercy to souskue right before he told him about the reserve magazine, or that it was once again luck that saved souskue from being killed.
Probably luck. Sousuke's protected by that whole 'fate' thing just as much as Kaname is, since he's necessary to get Kaname to the point where she can meet with Sophia. Though I can't be sure. I've never had an easy time reading Zaied's motives, since he's one big ball of contradiction. No thought was put into that character at all, which makes him difficult to read...
don't you think it was a little werid in the wind blows home part 1 that when they were ambushing guaron. That ziaed first had a gatling canon then jumped out of nowhere with just a knife and had no gun whatso ever? like it went from a guns blazing to hey lets all take out our knifes like it was something to do.
I think that whole arc is full of inconsistencies and things that make no sense for the characters... Zaied was probably conserving ammo, but even so, you'd think you'd go for the sure kill instead...
