Flaming Lips, Zaireeka, 2024
inside you there are two wolves
one likes women in heavy armor
the other likes women
you are wlw (and you make questionable fashion choices for your paladin)
The Flaming Lips "Zaireeka" 4xLP. Back in 2001 or 2002 my buddies @arshondrick, @lonnschubert, and myself managed to get all 4 CD's of @waynecoyne5's brainchild going in my room at once, using my stereo, my sister's bookshelf stereo, an old old boombox, and after a trip to Target for another boombox (which was returned a few weeks later). It was fun. I refuse to try that with this vinyl box set. This was procured for novelty and completist purposes. Eventually, I'll play and post the other 3 colors of the set over time. They are very pretty and opaque. #LP #Vinyl #Records #TheFlamingLips #Zaireeka #TheParkingLotExperiments
The Flaming Lips “Okay I'll Admit That I Really Don't Understand / Riding To Work In The Year 2025 (Your Invisible Now)”
• Zaireeka (19.67 Fanmix) 1997
originally released as «four CDs designed so that when played simultaneously on four separate audio systems, they would produce a harmonic or juxtaposed sound; the discs could also be played in different combinations, omitting one, two or three discs.»

Zaireeka - The Flaming Lips
To properly listen to this album you need four devices playing this album simultaneously, but with this being on streaming platforms it is at least easier than when it was exclusively available on CD(the original medium of the release) or vinyl(for record store day in 2013 this album was released on vinyl). An alternative way that this album can be listened to is by syncing up the four disc versions of this using audio software, with a very interesting result if you use spatial audio plugins to position the sounds of each CD in different positions. My favorite track is March of the Rotten Vegetables.

I need to post here more. Here is the WIP cover artwork I made for an upcoming nightmare of an auditory experience, coming soon to Husk Recordings. I am so so very sorry in advance.
The Flaming Lips - “The Big Ol’ Bug is the New Baby Now”
A funny, freaky story-song about some pet dogs.
