When you talk about Zakkos' and his character portrayal and the honey and them being possibly genderqueer and thinking about how Zakkos is also a stick like Saitama...until saitama goes serious mode and gets muscle definition...

I've made a meta about Saitama and portrayal of self-image in OPM before and I finally got it.

Serious Saitama is a Buff. In gaming terms.

Because he gets "buffed up" when he takes things seriously.

Aka, gets beefy and buffed with muscle definition.

And he's no longer "a stick figure" like drawing. He's now in "HD Graphics, High definition" because Murata-sensei draws him.

(I'm not even mad, that's a good joke)

Wait, we better not be playing hangman and have to guess a goddamn word before the stick figure guy is hung up.

Hangman is a guessing game for two or more players. One player thinks of a word, phrase or sentence and the other(s) tries to guess it by suggesting letters within a certain number of guesses. Originally a Paper-and-pencil game, there are now electronic versions.

Now that Zakkos has made his debut, here’s a couple of goodies for you (and folks who don’t follow the manga as religiously as I do):

I love the idea of Zakkos and Twin Tail as siblings because they both like to wear crazy clothes and style their hair in uncalled-for ways, but they obviously have different opinions about when that’s appropriate. Zakkos saves his wacky clothes for casual things and dresses nicely for professional occasions. Twin Tail thinks wearing a jester outfit to her actual job is perfectly acceptable.

A few observations from Volume 15: - Gale Wind is named Tempest Wind in the official English translation. - I didn’t notice when the chapter came out, but Zakkos has tattoos! - Why Zombieman abruptly decided to take cues from the Death Gatling School Of Dressing Oneself, I will never understand. It’s good, but, like. DG did it first my good man. And he probably has a reason for all the belts, besides the Aesthetic(TM). - Gun Gun’s final design differs a bit from his first appearance in Chapter 80. He originally had longer hair, a darker hat, and slightly different facial features. - Smile Man, Crying Man, and Angry Man are called the Blunt Brothers instead of the Surly Brothers. I think I prefer the official translation, honestly. - Double Hole is called Double Fall, which is infinitely better. - I didn’t realize he and Crescent Eyebroll had already worked together before! - Crescent really doesn’t do anything but scream, does he. - I got kind of sad when I realized the HA guy Destrochloridium infected was the same guy from the beginning of the “Sighting” bonus chapter. RIP my good man. - Sekingar gets a lot of face time in this volume. No reason to point that out other than I like the lead-up to him taking charge of the MA raid. He doesn’t even have a name at this point, but we get the idea that he’s a very important man beyond just being an executive. He’s definitely a character who’s growing on me.
