Sorry for being such a hardcore shipper but zalex deserved better and I needed to make that happen. And sorry if the manips are a kinda cringy or bad, but that's the best I could do in such a few days lol.

I totally understand that Zach can be straight and this kind of friendship obviously can happen between men without them being in a relationship or romantic interest in each other. And Zach reaction to Alex kiss was wonderful, he was very supportive and didn't make a big deal of it, eventhough his rejection. I don't want you to think that I'm mad just because they didn't make Zach gay or bi or pan or demi, etc LOL.

However, I still think making Zach totally straight felt kinda forced in his character, as well as making Alex ending falling in love with Charlie literally out of nowhere after all we saw in the previous seasons. Eventhough he said he was happy he didn't really seemed happy with Charlie as he is when he's with Zach. And Zach has always that sparkle in his eyes when he is with Alex, that makes me think that he actually feels something for him.

With that said, this is how (in my opinion) Zalex should've gone in season 4 and be endgame.

Zach should've been the one who calmed down Alex during the lockdown since it was him who was always there for him during his recovery and not Charlie, like, so random.

When Zach asked Alex why he was with him and not with Charlie, Alex should've stayed because he wanted to stay.

When Alex told Ani she saved his life more than anyone i got it, but Zach was there too and I really felt those words kinda went for him too(? since he literally saved his life so many times, including helping Alex to recover his normal life after he got brain damage.

Alex should've cared and helped Zach through his alcoholism problem as he did in the last episode but since the beginning, instead of telling him to stop being an asshole so many times.

Alex said he loves making crimes with Zach and he didn't want to leave him there. Both of them looked happy or at least having fun.

Sorry but I wanted a kiss generated by the adrenaline of the moment of be gays do crimes.

The vibe when they were on the boat saying "fuck it all" was really ... something. Besides the "that's what makes us free" out of context reminded me of Gallavich, you know, Mickey saying "what you and i have makes me free".

I think Zach would totally start a kiss with Alex.

Zach and Alex should've gotten high with each other.

Zach would definitely be stubborn to convince Alex to go to prom with him and wouldn't give up until he got it (without being cringy or creepy or extremely cheesy). I don't doubt that he would have been able to carry Alex (physically) to the party just to make him go.

Zach should've been the one who took Alex to prom because they deserve that dance since s02 when Zach teached Alex how to dance.

Zach should've been the boyfriend Alex presented to his family. I bet Zach would be so happy and the family would be very supportive, knowing in advance how caring and good he is with Alex.

I'm sure Zach would be the only one who could make Alex dance with his "Dempsey magic" dance power lol.

Zach didn't hesitate to blame himself for Bryce crime because even if he was in the "I don't give a shit" mood, I think he would do it anyways if he had to protect Alex.

Zach cares about Alex. No matter what.

Always.

Well they deserved to be in love.

So this is a FANMADE zalex spin off because we totally see it happening this way. Wish we have a real one in the future but this is for the meanwhile you know? 😂

About the songs, I used zalex anthem Downtown by Majical Cloudz because it's a canon song of them ❤️ the one they slowed danced in Alex room, and the other, recommended by Anja because the lyrics screams zalex's happy ending.

As once Ross Butler said in an interview “I think you can meet somebody and you can really connect with them and maybe it's not the right timing to put them further down the road but when the timing is right you can explore that path".

I think collage is the right timing for them.
