The gen alpha experience is feeling incredibly self aware compared to all these other people explaining how they were at your age and having this weird blurry mental age where you’re constantly questioning whether you’re mature for your age or just think you are.

I’m actually genuinely crying right now

as a gen alpha I just walked into a store and found tamagotchis and I genuinely had no idea what they were and I asked my dad about them and just stared at them for 10 minutes crying they’re so cute but i’m too scared to have them because i don’t want to get emotional like this if it dies or something

i just feel so bad for not knowing what they were and i’m actually sobbing in tears im having a breakdown it feels like an entire part of my life was erased

Is internet safety taught anymore? I’m so used to never giving out my name, age, or location and yet I’ve seen people here just casually mention they’re 11 or the city they live in. It genuinely scares me.

Gen alpha culture is being so used to lying about your age on everything that once you don’t have to lie about your age anymore you aren’t sure whether you actually want to put your real age or not

People are out here talking about how gen alpha can’t read and I’m out here CACKLING

In 4th grade my teacher literally let me write more on essays because i was so good at it

and I kid you not since then my reading level has been double my grade level, like where the hell is the rest of my generation why can’t they spell the word unique or like shining someone in my history class asked how to spell the word shining

reading is still important!!! and personally i love reading and writing so i’m genuinely confused on where the rest of my generation just kind of. screwed up.

A lot of the time I hope I get to be a teacher when I grow up but I know it just… won’t work. I have no patience whatsoever and being surrounded by kids all the time would probably drive me insane. Yet I always hear, be the change you want to see, and I wonder how I would be a teacher. I wish I could be a GOOD teacher. I wish.

My science class pisses me off so much. The kids that sit with me hardly make an effort to pay attention and always just copy work from me. One of them was asking whether Florida was a state or a country. I’ve given up on talking to most of them because the times I tried to talk to them they ignored me. Good luck to me on my next group project I guess…
