Bitti. Evrenin her yerine, eşit dağılan...
I-330 : Aha! Eşit ve her yere! İşte bunu söylüyorum: Entropi! Psikolojik entropi! Matematikçisin sen.

The microspeed of the tongue ought to be always slightly less than the microspeed of the thoughts and certainly not ever the reverse.

...So why is it important to remember these historical and literary fiascos? Partly because people have short memories, but more importantly because the peddlers of totalitarian utopias have not disappeared and can still be found justifying and sugar-coating those ideologies. You find them all over where mass information is being generated. True, they are not peddling utopias -- yet. Instead, first things first: with cynicism, lies, intimidation, and repetition they undermine the society that they live in, they exalt like-minded persons while denigrating their opponents. And Newspeak is nowadays called Politically Correct speech while its opposite, thoughtcrime, is referred to as hate speech.
— Küp meydanı. Eş merkezli altmış altı güçlü çember : Tribünler. Ve altmış altı sıra : Gözlerinden göklerin parıltıları veya TekDevlet-in parıltısı yansıyan, lambalar misali sakin yüzler. Kan kırmızısı çicekler : Kadın dudakları. Ve çocuklar : Ön cephede, eyleme en yakın. Derin, katı, gotik bir sessizlik. Biz Zamyatin (Kayıt 9 - Syf,50)
We by Yevgeny Zamyatin
The one most people haven't read, and it might be the most important dystopian novel ever written. Published four years before Brave New World and twenty-four years before 1984.
A glass-walled city where citizens are numbers and freedom is considered a disease. Strange, feverish, and uncomfortably relevant. Orwell himself acknowledged its influence.
If you've read 1984 and Brave New World, you owe it to yourself to read the book that came first.
