Neon Genesis Evangelion ~ Ep.20 “Form of the Mind, Form of the Man” / “Weaving a story 2: Oral Stage” A segment of background audio where a female radio host lays out some pivotal key thematic subjects… That most of the time is completely missing from available subtitles (as is from the Netflix ones), or is barely audible in some dubs. This happens right after Shinji is ejected from Unit 01, and Misato is giving Ritsuko a lift.
End of Evangelion - ep.25′ “Air / Love is destructive” The moment in which Misato Katsuragi, while transporting Shinji Ikari to Unit 01, explains the relationship and true nature behind the Second Impact, Adam, Lilith, the Angels, the Eva Series, and humanity itself.
Personal attempt to identify the height of the NGE cast. Commentary below...
Part of the ‘End of Evangelion’ Netflix english subtitles which had a key piece of lore info mixed up: Adam being a source of life, like Lilith is; *not* Adam coming from the source of life called Lilith. This same issue happened in older subtitles, but was fixed in later versions--Yet, it appears again in the recent Netflix ones, as evidenced. When compared, the english dub does communicate a more apt concept of what Misato is explaining at that moment in the film. Here’s the full correct subbed english version of Misato’s explanation.
Hideaki Anno’s full commentary regarding Moyoco Anno’s semi-autobiographical manga “Insufficient Direction” (Kantoku Fuyuki Todoki), which deals with their relationship and adventures.
Edit of a photo shared by studio khara, which showed volumes of documents related to 3.0+1.0 (name translations by Reichu). The names of Toji, Hikari, Kensuke, Asuka, Shinji and Rei are mentioned, as well as their respective heights; Kensuke has an extra annotation, which was illegible, below his height. There appear to be five more names -and silhouettes- on the right side of the photo (after Rei’s name), but these were hard to discern.
Illustration made by Mahiro Maeda (前田 真宏) for the inauguration of the ‘Animate’ store in Bangkok (2016)--Recently used by studio khara’s second twitter account as a header.
Thanks to fellow eva fan and expert Reichu for identifying Maeda’s signature, which allowed for the finding of this piece!
