This poor Frankenstein’s monster of a paragraph was constructed from three separate parts and only assembled into its final form at the 11th hour. I really struggled with the ending of this story; the emotional arc wasn’t quite working, which I finally figured out was because the emotional climax and the sex climax (har har) were coming at different times, but before that I wrote a whole bunch of different endings trying to make things work. (The uhh climactic tentacle scene originally happened right after they watched porn together, and then the pacing felt very off to me. Relocating that scene finally made things click. I don’t usually do too much structural editing once I’m done with a story, because I try to take care of any major issues along the way; this was by far the most revision I’ve ever done, and I do indeed regret everything.) 

Anyway the whole thematic parallel of Geno and the naiad (two wild and easily startled creatures!) was not something I intended when I started the story, but the subconscious is a blessing to every writer, and once I realized what was going on I felt morally obligated to milk it dry. How will Sid commemorate the fortunate presence of Geno in his home and life? Probably he hangs a picture of the two of them in his bedroom, so he can look at it every night before he goes to sleep. Geno is both embarrassed and thrilled.

whats the point? what do you get out of it?

I honestly do not understand. Not at all. I swear some people are only in the fandom because it's "big", but if you look around you'll see that a lot of people say things about Geno that are just "WTF" worthy. I don't get how people can read or write sex when they don't think that Geno is attractive.
