Been hearing a lot similar shit of late. His left eye looked Majima’s way, wondering what he was even going for with this. A means of rubbing all of this shit in his face? He’d always seemed pretty friendly with Kiryu, but he’d never gotten much on the right foot with him. His own actions didn’t exactly help that either during those years he was the head of his family.

But what he was saying... He wasn’t sure whether it was bait to ask or not. For now, Nishiki wouldn’t take it. Instead, he just kept his expression relatively neutral. Unintentionally looking a touch pathetic in the eyes.

“Don’t you have Kiryu to bother?”

It seemed that Majima was in the midst of dressing up into Goromi, and it was that realization alone that had Kiryu flustered enough to stumble over his words. Majima was clearly comfortable with himself enough to do that--to cross that boundary and not be hindered by it and ... in all honesty, he did it very well in Kiryu's heart of hearts.

... Perhaps too well, honestly, with how easily he was flustered by it.

All that aside...

He heaved a sigh as large brown eyes settled on the bright red lipstick the other man was holding in one hand, holding for him, in fact, and his shoulders slumped in defeated.

They were built completely different though. Majima had the build, lean and surprisingly shapely as well as the legs to pull off the body of an attractive woman (especially from behind), but Kiryu, himself...

He was not lean ... anywhere. Too bulky. Heavier. Even his feet were big! Ugh--

Surprisingly, a past conversation suddenly popped up into his head--one he remembered having with a hostess of SHINE.

Well, can you think about it now? What do you like to do if you were a girl?

She'd been waiting patiently, and he'd answered ... honestly. She had deserved that.

I'd want to go out with a guy. I think it could be a nice change of pace to be woo'ed rather than do the wooing.

... Ah, damnit. Idly, he took a moment to wonder as to what Rina was doing now--most likely still working as a hostess around her favorite sort of people: cute girls. He hadn't had the time recently, but he needed to link up with her again at SHINE.

He'd always felt really comfortable talking to her even when he'd first been getting to know her...

Agh. Would this be ... would this be the most out of the box thing he'd done in his life ... to date?

Big brown eyes eventually pulled away from the makeup to stare at Majima in the face, more embarrassed now that he knew he had been won over by Rina and his own honest self in addition to the other yakuza's pestering.

He really, really needed to say no to people more often.

"This is a whole different sort of world for me," Kiryu eventually spoke up, admitting the obvious. "I don't know about any of this, but I guess this-- ... it's ... an ... opportunity. Fine."

     it was a surprisingly slow night, all things considered. strangely quiet for kamurocho’s normally chaotic streets--he had the audacity to wonder if perhaps something was amiss before learning to appreciate what precious few intervals of quiet he had. with no more scheduled visits to look forward to, he would spend the rest of his remaining shift doing paperwork and transcribing his audio logs. it’s right as he settles down for the rest of the evening with a sigh that his door is nigh bust down by a group of men carrying a man with a bloody gash in his gut. it’s at this moment that he swears to never question kamurocho’s propensity for spitting out what it’s chewed up when he least expect it again. absolutely typical, this was.

      yakuza. of course. but these were men he didn’t recognize. it’s when he realizes they were shimano family men that his blood freezes and all but contemplates tossing them out on their asses and locking his doors. but to bring such grief on the kazama family’s heads would be awkward indeed; he didn’t need the big guy himself showing up and getting into peoples’ faces or, god forbid, punching peoples’ lights out--his own specifically.

     “alright, alright, put--put him there on the table,” he instructs, pointing to an exam room as he gathers the needed supplies, “put him down and get out, i’ll see to him from here.” he didn’t need the frantic fools crowding up his office. he’d prefer the scene to be outside. with towels in hand, he puts pressure on the single knife wound in the man’s stomach, and it’s here that he takes his time observing him. eye patch, snake-skin jacket... tight pants and... damn those were scarily nice shoes.

     “you sure know your fashion, sir,” he states in a light hearted voice, “might you grace me with your name? i’m afraid your chaperones were a little hard to understand, honking like geese as they were.”

Noctis tensed as the voice spoke up behind him, but he was given no chance to react before he was trapped in a vice-like grip and tugged deeper into the alley, away from the club and any prying eyes. Shit. This was exactly the reason Cor and Gladio lectured him over the importance of always having a guard present. Gods, he was such an idiot. If he didn't end up dead, he'd definitely get one hell of a lecture.

He didn't fight against the hold – not once the blade was firmly pressed against his neck. Any struggles and his attacker might just add a little pressure and slit his throat. He took a deep, calming breath, wincing as the movement caused the knife to brush against his skin.

"I-" The Prince started, trying to gather his thoughts enough to think rationally. In a situation like this, he needed to keep a cool head, but it was hard when panic was threatening to sink in. "I didn't. I...I paid my bill. Check my table, check the cameras. S'all there. I wasn't trying to pull a fast one, I swear."

He had that going for him, at least. Any cameras and either the girls that had been serving him his drinks (and a little more touching than he was comfortable with) would be able to support his story.

"I didn't see the sign." He told him truthfully. "I just... never really been to a club before. It got too much for me in there. Too much attention. I needed some air. I didn't realise this was staff only. I just needed to get out. That's all, I swear."

Majima is somewhat unpredictable to Kiryu. He does everything possible to get under his skin, and insists on fighting him at every chance he gets, and just generally tries to inject as much chaos as possible into Kiryu's life for reasons that are only vaguely clear—and even those explanations don't really help Kiryu understand the lengths to which he goes—but for all that, this is perhaps the one thing he'd have never expected to hear out of the other man's mouth.

He blinks before his eyebrows pull together, deepening the crease between them. He can tell the words are meant to sound like a threat. After all, the playful tone is nowhere to be found in Majima's voice, and Kiryu knows him well enough now to know that he's not fucking around in this particular moment… not entirely, anyway.

He's not sure what Majima is expecting or wants to hear. But even if he did know Kiryu has no intentions of seeming like a willing participant in Majima's... Majima-ness. So he sighs, exasperated, before responding.

"Is it? If I'm starting to bore you, why don't you just go find someone else to bother?" He says this as if they both can't see right through it. Majima is, on the one hand, a problem that insists on being solved by him, often to his chagrin. On the other hand, he is something of an acquaintance. Maybe even a friend in the only way that someone like Majima could know how to be a friend.

"If you're looking for a fight, you can just say that, Majima no nii-san."
