We’re releasing our Skymall creation! Thanks to those who contributed. Publishing a zine is a ton of work, so we’re ready to party! Come to our zine release benefit Friday, June 19th!
Holy titclamps, issue no. 16
A zine alternating between queer writing and comics. Filled from front to back cover with people’s thoughts and art. One of my favorite things about zines is that they strike from the soul! People make them because they love to create above all else! This zine will be at our table at Cal Anderson Park from 5-7 during Pride weekend, June 27th--come peruse!
The Zine Archive and Publishing Project (ZAPP) is a volunteer driven, living archive of over 30,000 self-published materials. ZAPP is a DIY resource and educational center committed to supporting underheard voices from the Puget Sound region and beyond.
GiveBIG is TODAY you guys! With your help, we can get a home for our zines, more awesome programs, more zine digitization, bigger zine collections for you to peruse, more more more! The link to donate is above.
How did ZAPP make you feel last year? How did it make you think? How did our zines make you smile or laugh or cry?

GiveBIG is coming up! On May 5th, the Seattle Foundation will match a portion of any and all funds you donate to ZAPP through this link! Last year, thanks to YOU, generous Zinesters, we formed a partnership with Hollow Earth Radio, broadened our outreach, published a new issue of our volunteer zine, and digitized Thrasher’s holdings and presented them! We’ve gotten 500 new zines donated to us in the past year and we’re so excited to grow and grow and grow! Click the link for more info.
ZAPP reading @ HOLLOW EARTH RADIO
We're glad to report that Sunday, March 15th, we're presenting, along with Hollow Earth Radio, readings from Kelly Froh, Max Clotfelter, Nyky Gomez, David Lasky, Evan J. Peterson, and Robyn Jordan. You can come for FREE (come on!) but we will accept donation$ at the door. The event is at Hollow Earth Radio from 2-4 PM and even if you miss the reading you really wanted to see there will be plenty of zines for perusal and information about ZAPP.
Best of KGIBI
Hello ZAPP fans and soon-to-be-fans. I write to let you know what's coming: a retrospective series of zines created by the French collective Kgibi (pun intended, we think). They traveled to Seattle last summer and the upcoming zines are the result of that collaboration. If you heard us on the radio last weekend, you heard us chatting about some of these Zines, which you can now see! Live! In real time! On your computers in the upcoming weeks! Keep yr. eyes peeled and yr. butt in a chair for these Tumblr posts because these are unmissable works of art.
This Sunday, you can hear me, Emily, your humble deliverer of Tumblr content, on the radio with the ZAPP crew (including the main coordinator/head honcho of ZAPP, also named Emily). The theme of the episode is "our volunteers" and we'll be telling you guys about our activities on Tumblr and plans for ZAPP and social media. Tune in at 2:30 PM to Hollow Earth Radio (www.hollowearthradio.org). If you're in Seattle with us, drop by the open hours after to talk about zines & maybe make your own zine. Facebook event invite in the link posted!
