New Moon
It was there she saw it. In the mirror bright, polished metal of the torture chamber walls.... the eyes of a Sith looked at her own reflection in utter horror.
They were her mother's eyes.
In her head, faintly, someone laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed.
"No. Oh, no...."He got to me. He got to me. I'm not safe, I'm a danger- I'm- I failed, I hurt Cyraas-
Zashii yanked away from his warm supporting arms. "Get- Get Ryza to- to my ship, superior medical equipment, kolto tank- I- I- I have to-I'll be back-"
She vanished. Cyraas leaped forward to keep her from running and swore as he missed her by less than half a second.
And she was gone.
Zashii ran.
Down the wrecked path they carved through Shadowtown, away, away, far away, hands and lungs burning, her battle wounds screaming at her with every step, but she kept running.
The laughing in her mind never stopped.
She was forced to a halt somewhere in the bowels of the city, gasping, winded even for a Jedi. A dark alleyway beckoned; she slipped into it and sank agianst the wall of the building by her. Ragged heaving breathes turned to sobs.
What had she done?
WHAT had she DONE?

[Something I've been meaning to write for a while now. Apologies for lateness and liberties taken with characters. <3 Snugglu to Ryza and Josh!]
x-x-x-x-x-x
"You said you knew where she was.” It wasn’t a question, it was a statement. “Tell us. We’re getting her, no matter what. It’s going to be messy and violent.” His eyes dropped to her lightsaber, lingering on it and everything he knew it stood for. “If you’re going to have a problem with that, then stay here.”
"They have a saying about healers, Makiel," Zashii replied with freakish calm. “Those who know how to put you together… also know how to take you apart."
There was a small beat of silence as she let him digest her meaning.
"I intend to dissect these people. Now. My visions tell my Ryza is in Shadowtown. A dangerous, unsavory area. But I see you are prepared; and Cyraas can hold his own," she added.
Zashii didn’t mention herself. It wasn’t worth mentioning. If they did not know by now that a Jedi could handle herself, they would learn in very short order. As would those who dared hold her friend hostage. Take her away from Zashii. Hurt her.
She would stop the pain, and inflict it ten thousand fold back on those who deserved no mercy.
They didn't even see them coming. How could they? No, they did not see the danger until it was on thier doorstep, in the form of a squad of soldiers in plain armor, a redheaded man with unerring aim.... and a woman, a woman who flickered in and out of the gloom like a terrible ghost, wielding a yellow and black blade- but worse than the blade, and burning hotter, were the molten eyes under a darkened hood.
Imperials, prisoners- the smart ones fled as much as they were able. The stupid ones ended up dead, gunned down or carved into pieces and left in the streets. Cyraas had disabled communications and security devices. There would be no help for them here.
Not unless you counted the oblivion of death.
For they had taken what was hers, hurt her friend, tortured her, and she would make them all suffer for it.
With her saberstaff she was a creature of lightening and the shadow of a storm, using the Force to vanish and reappear and slice and vanish once more, a terrifying thing to face. Behind her, Makeil and his squad blew the enemy to bits, and she did not need to look to be able to know that Cyraas was hard at work as well. She could feel the latent Force Sensitive's pulse in the life energies of the universe, but it was peripheral. She was focused on someone else's for now.
Hold on, Ryza. I'm coming.
Headcanons for Zash/Cyraas and Cylver/Toren
Zashii and Cyraas:
Cyraas is always mess, Zashii is always clean, and they are forever fighting about it like an old married couple. If he rearranges her sickbay again she has threatened to do horrible things to him. She enjoys his sense of humor, most of the time, but NOT when he plays pranks on her- she gets him back in spades. Not immediately, but really really really goooooood. He does ship things and she watches him do ship things because she has no interest in ship things. He is also a good cook and makes her eat when she’s feeling the effects of the Healing Technique.
Cylver and Toren:
Toren really likes the gun Cyvler got him, that blaster rifle/sniper rifle combo deal. He rejects the Corso tradition of calling it by a name, because that is illogical; however he has carved his name into the stock. In keeping with Vulcan philosophy he only uses it to kill when nessecary or when his Captain is threatened. Otherwise, the stock makes an excellent bludgeon, and there is a bayonet like attachment for close quarters combat. He is… flattered and surprised that she put so much thought into it. Cylver is a bit shy about her cybers, sometimes, but Toren finds them fascinating and not at all repulsive. She does her own repairwork, but if she’s ever out of it or injured, she only trusts him and that amazing brain of his with her tech. No one else touches it. No one.
Fighting Styles: Force Users
Khes's style is heavily based off her master Konur's and the style taught to him by Jedi Yoru Vin. Like thiers, it is an Ataru variant, extremely acrobatic, and mostly offense oriented. However, since she spent the better part of three years teaching herself, there are also odd moves from different styles from ones like Soresu to Shien and even one or two from Juyo tossed in- as well as a liberal sprinkling of unarmed combat moves. Because Khes is weaker than most in areas of Force techniques -like lifting and throwing rocks or using the Jed Mind Trick- she is just as likely to suddenly turn off her lightsabers in the middle of a fight, deliver an elbow to the temple, and switch them back on as she is to go blade to blade with an opponent, and she's not above 'dirty tricks' to win. The object is to survive the battle by any means necessary, and eliminate the enemy as fast as possible. She learned to wield twin lightsabers from Kon, but the reverse grip is her own twist. The lightsabers themselves are shorter than a normal lightsaber, almost shoto length. This means Khes is alot less with the stabby and a lot more with sharp, slashing arcs and the slicey dicey. Her obsessive training kept her on par before she met Kon, but she took to the style like a firaxen shark to water. Defense is not a major concern of hers, though perhaps it should be. Like Kon and Yoru, she relies on speed, agility, the flips and jumps of Ataru, her own small size, and the hints of precognition she gets when fighting to keep her out of danger's way. The precognition is what enables her to see and exploit weaknesses and openings to deadly effect. She lacks some of the grace that Yoru and Kon posses, a thing that may come with time- her style is more chaotic and mooshed together. It's also much 'tighter' in her flips and leaps, because she uses less Force when she does them. Also like them, she needs a lot of food, energy, and rest to be able to fight in such a labor-intensive style.
She's also noted for her skill in more mundane weapons, like blasters, that she took the time to learn outside the Temple, and her fondness for grenades.
Overall a very eclectic and unpredictable mix that has prove extremely practical in the real world. Khes resembles a bouncy ball on crack with lightsabers attached when she hits the enemy.
Avenjj has twin blades as well, not reverse held. Mostly, she uses Jar'kai and Ataru, with some Juyo- but combined seamlessly into what could almost be it's own form, for the sheer savagery and grace it possesses. Avenjj much resembles the manka cat when she fights, with the lightsabers as her claws of choice. And for all it's grace, there's a jagged edge to it: she doesn't DO control, so she goes all out every time, with the end goal being total annihilation of the enemy. Favorite tricks include Force-lightening and the Force Choke: she's as strong in her technique as she is with her lightsabers. Avenjj has insane pain tolerance and endurance qualities as well, making her overall a terrifying opponent to face in a lightsaber duel or otherwise. She's killed Jedi Masters and Sith Lords to prove it, and laughed as she savored the bloodshed.
Pru really, really doesn't like fighting. Really. However, when she is pressed, she can actually be quite the tiny asskicker. Blame Daddy the semi-ex-Sith. Her main style is Niman, with her double bladed lightsaber and lots and lots of different Force techniques She's more defensive oriented, and can hold her own agianst a heavy assault from nearly anything- but that won't stop her from hurling heavy things at you, or tossing you around like an old coke can, or even using a very rare technique called Emerald Force Lightening, which springs from a 'determined sense of justice' [see Jedi Path handbook]. She's very fond of stealthing and attacking from behind. Her mother trained her in unarmed combat, and while she is not weak, she's nowhere near the level of say, Khes.
There's ALSO that little thing she can do with the ghosts and spirits... but we don't really talk about that much. It makes the Jedi [rightly] nervous.
Zashii is the queen of Niman, stealth, and double bladed lightsaber combat. She fights like lightening in a thunderstorm: offensively, flickering in and out, hitting precise and deadly with a surgeon's skill. She is also very, very strong in the Force and its numerous techniques. Zashii can also use considerable mindfuckery when pressed. Say hello to your worst nightmare come to life, or Jedi mind tricking someone into surrendering are all part of her arsenal. But her most formidable weapon is not her lightsaber, or her skill with the Force: it's her brilliant mind that has made enemies tremble.
Skif doesn't use a lightsaber anymore, being SIS, but she does use the Force, in much more subtle ways. A lot of Force techniques can be adapted very well to spying, and her natural talent for mechu-deru only adds to her usefulness. Cybernetics grant her augmented strength and endurance- they also give her a good cover for preternaturally fast reflexes and 'gut' feelings. Her favorite weapon is the vibroknife, and all the lovely places you can stick one, but she's a damn fine shot with a blaster as well. Her blaster is actually a modified shotgun, slow-loading but accurate over long distances and hits like a fucking tank. She likes being up close and personal with a target, and her stealth generator allows her to get that way with deadly consequences. Explosives are also a common weapon of hers. She's a scrapper with just enough recklessness to get the job done and willingness to do whatever it takes to win.
When pulling out all the stops, she's as capable of a Force-lift or push as any Jedi. She makes sure to keep in shape, just in case she has to pull that trump card. But most of her talents lie in other areas- like the speed and accuracy of her knives when thrown.
Last one, I swear XD What five items would your character's keep within reach on a bedside table?
Bombshell: Her gun, book, picture of the old Havoc Squad with herself scratched out of it, picture of the new Havoc on Tattooine, and some bacta. Because retractable claws.
Rhowin: Her gun, weapons magazines, guncleaning rag and equipment, holocomm.
Cylver: Her arm: seriously, she sleeps with her cyborg arm [and therefore her gun and vibro] under her pillow. Also probably a porno mag.
Zashii: Datapadd and a ton of books, all crowding each other. A cup of tea at bedtime. Her lightsaber.
Khes: Various mechanical bits and peices she’s been mucking around with. Candy in her bedside drawer for midnight snackies. A cup of water. Her lightsabers.
Avenjj: Lightsabers. That’s really it. She doesn’t sleep well, often, or easily, so she doesn’t spend a lot of her time in bed. In the drawers there are various stims, some illegal, and probably some hard liquor.
Skif: Her blaster on the bedside table and no less than five knives under her pillow. A few literotica novels on a datapadd, interspersed with philosophy texts ‘borrowed’ from the Jedi Archives. Various explosive parts and peices.
Fives: Her sidearm, where she can reach it. The Imperial Intelligence Rules and Regulations Handbook. A signal jammer in case of any listening devices. Datapadd with variety of books on it.
Pru: All the books ever. Her lightsaber. The Art of Warefare by Master Ju Toh, where she can reach it lying down. A picture of her family. A textbook on Tradnoshan culture and religion.
Sorry if this has been asked before prompt wise but which one of your character's is the most likely to hold onto a grudge, and if they have a chance to exact revenge for whatever it is, how would they do it?
Hmmm. Iiiiiinteresting.
Khes is LEAST likely. Her heart is too big for that. Plus, Jedi reasons. Pru too; her compassion and her own history makes her big on forgiveness.
Zashii is mostly likely to REMEMBER. She may forgive you, and get along perfectly fine afterwards, but she will not forget. Revenge is not the Jedi way, so you would probably be safe, but she would probably think about it first, before deciding not to do it. You escape only on her good graces.
Bombshell… She would try to forgive, but it may not work. She’s all about Justice, so you WILL get what is coming to you but it will NOT be revenge, it will be justice, which in some cases is worse- because Bombshell is the most dogged in her pursuit. If she says you’re going down, it’s just a matter of time.
Rhowin will find you and beat the fuck out of you because she does NOT take that shit well at all, ever, and God help you if you hurt Gid during all this. Or her kids. She will remember and she probably won’t forgive so you best start running, boy, cause she’s as bad as her twin when it comes to dogged pursuits and not nearly as nice about it.
Cylver will absolutely hold onto a grudge and get revenge, probably in a creative and painful way. Toren might keep her from going over the edge, though. Either way, it probably still ends badly for you.
Fives probably has other worries, to be honest, and as long as you are not trying to ACTIVELY kill her, she’s more willing to live and let live- but if you’re a threat, she may be forced to do something she doesn’t want to.
Skif will smile and find you and destroy all you love, thoroughly fucking up your entire life: marriage, credit score, trashing your apartment, rigging your car to blow, ect, thus leaving you destitute and miserably. If you tried to hurt Rio, she would just find you and end you. She does like poetic justice, so if that’s a possibility, she’ll go for it.
But of all of them… Avenjj is the worst to cross. Avenjj doesn’t have grudges. She has scars, and she feeds off them, and she does not rest until she finds you and kills you: slowly, horribly, intimately, in every way she knows you fear, after making you eat the eyeballs of your children. Or she might just kill you in that terrifying frenzied rage of hers. It’s a tossup.
