Multiverstober: 8. Deception Zathrian deceived everyone he could, so he takes pride of place in the illustration for this theme. It's a shame BioWare didn't develop the werewolf theme further; I think they could have found a place for them in other games if they wanted to. I've always loved Brecilian Forest as a location, it seems like simple ruins in the woods can take you on a fantasy journey more than some more magical or unusual place.

if I had a dollar for every time Dragon Age introduced a bald immortal elf mage with a dark secret & connection to wolves, I would have two dollars. that's not a lot but it's odd that it happened twice

Every Dalish elf you meet that has been to an Arlathvhen prior to the Blight should know about Zathrian. This ostensibly immortal Keeper who's been Keeper for two Ages, who they think may have rediscovered the immortality that the ancient elves knew? His ass is as close to a celebrity as the Dalish get. He's got more experience than anyone else living. Hell, to the rest of the Dalish his death is a TRAGEDY. and they just. never mention him again. ripping and biting

bw doesnt mention him after origins bc hes quantum, but i do think zathrian should probably be a much bigger deal dead or alive than he is in the games. he was alive since just after the fall of the dales. which is kind of insane?
