Book Bingo 2026 Progress Post 2/?
6. Short Story Collection: Never Whistle at Night: An Indigenous Dark Fiction Anthology by various authors Stories are creepy, gross, dark, sad, and I will definitely be checking out some of these authors. Before I Go by Norris Black was my fave.
7. Not Originally Published in English: Every Day I Read: 53 Ways to Get Closer to Books by Hwang Bo-Reum The main word that comes to mind is "cute." A very quick and pleasant read, perfect for those who are new to reading as a hobby.
8. 2x Older Than You: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie My first Agatha! Original title and era-expected racism aside, this was very fun. Addictive and went down easy, like a delicious milkshake.
9. Read It + Do It: The Edmore Cook Book 100+ year old cookbook written by the women of Edmore, ND that belonged to my great-grandmother. The potato scones kicked ass.
10. Writer Bio or Memoir: Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly by Anthony Bourdain* Tony is a clever and expressive writer, and while the hypermasculine '00s edgy shit got on my nerves a bit, I couldn't help but be charmed. *you may say that Anthony Bourdain is more of a chef than a writer, but he is both and kind of always has been. so, whatever!
