I just want you to know, rereading the Handplates comic and I saw the "Maybe more will come of this, maybe not. We'll see!" line in the first post you did. Something surely came of it-

it feels like all my longer projects start like this lol. I remember with Vargas thinking "oh, this'll probably just be a short story, maybe two or three chapters" and now it's eight billion words long and still not over. AND YET SOMEHOW I'M SURPRISED EVERY TIME WHEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN

I didn't know any of that about the Titanite Demons- I just thought they were frustrating obstacles in your way. Honestly I wonder if Andre and the Giant Blacksmith are in someway connected to the Blacksmith God.

OH HO HO WAIT UNTIL YOU LEARN ABOUT EIDAS! Hawkshaw talks about him in the linked video, but that random crystal guy in the Duke's Archives? Very likely to be the apprentice of the Giant Blacksmith Deity, Eidas! Many things hint to it, like the designs in his armor matching the craftsmanship of the Duke's Archives (which was likely designed/built by the blacksmith) and the Avelyn weapon (noted to be Eidas' masterpiece) being nearby which ALSO has the same design patterns.

As far as Andre and the Giant Blacksmith go, the latter is most likely connected! The Giant Blacksmith was probably another apprentice or hand who took over once the deity and Edias were gone. As for Andre, I doubt he was around when the god was still alive, but DS3 confirms that he has at least met the giant. 🥰 I adore the image of them sharing their smithing with each other. Maybe the Chosen Undead introduced them! xD

Homicide Detective Peartree is indeed a Blood Slime. An artificial monster made and comprised entirely of various hemoglobin-just ingesting a bit of blood allows him to determine what type it is-which really helps narrow down the process a bit if it’s a rare blood type-and even if the person is healthy or not, tracking them down based on any abnormalities they may have via medical records

This is very helpful because DNA analysis didn’t fully occur until the 1980s. And his entire character concept is based on the John Mulaney joke of how easy it was to get away with murder in the 1920s-you can leave blood evidence everywhere and nobody knows what to do with it but mop it up. Well....with Detective Peartree, that is a THING OF THE PAST BABY! NO MORE GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER.

Okay but real talk? Hanging out with some of the Greek pantheon would be dope as fuck. (Besides Zues, he's awful asf.) Just imagine going out clubbing with the God of the Underworld and his cool as fuck wife!

I’ll absolutely go clubbing with Hades and Persephone any day of the week, and then vaguepost on Twitter about disliking Zeus and Poseidon.

Out of curiosity: How do you go about making your little shots that look straight out of Homestuck? Like the rooms, and the kidsona sprites?

there’s like a site that compiles assets and stuff from homestuck. sprites, rooms, etc. i think i can find it in a bit

but generally i put just... too much effort into the things i do so the room was something i remade with the asset as the base

as for the little dialogue thing... that was a screen shot from google docs bc i may put a lot of effort into things but that means i get burnt out like crazy easy
