Yeah, Sorry

Sad to do this with 6/12 right around the corner, but I've come to the conclusion that I don't have any juice left to give Homestuck-ways. Mind you I still like talking about it in smaller settings, or occasionally, but answering a stream of asks regarding it as my interest wanes and I distance myself from the Fandom, is only making me resent it and this blog. I'm not sure if that'll change at any point in the future, but for now, and to avoid confusion, I'm going to turn asks off.

Of course, y'all can still reach me in DM's or whatever, and the blog itself is going nowhere obviously, but yeeeeah. Thank you all for all your theories and questions over the years!

I wish you the best. Your interests in Homestuck may wane, but I will still a happy [pre-emptive] 4/13. It was 15 years ago that this silly little webcomic was started and Today*(which is to say in the future)* we celebrate all the joys and frustrations that come out of a old ass comic made on the interwebs. Even if my interest wanes, Homestuck still does hold a special place in my heart, and it has caused irreversible changes to me and my patterns of speech among many other things.

Hi! I should've said something but man my motivation and drive has been through the floor-

I exist and I am alive, yes. Sadly, however, I've hit a new low of weariness regarding HS stuff, so I do apologize for letting so many asks pile up in the Inbox without response or without saying anything. I'm trying to see of I feel better about getting back into it, soon, but also I've just been on a steady decline when it comes to interest in continuing this blog, I'll admit...

Why are Friendsim not canon? At least, I can't think of much that contradicts canon. I know PQ (which i;'ve only just started) is best to be considered non-canon, but ifnorimng htat, why Friendsim? (Sorry if i already asked this tiday i dont remembet if i brought uit up on my last ask) uwu

It's not that it's non-canon-compliant. It's just that it's not necessarily Canon. It could've happened. Or it could've not! It expands upon the world, and because of Divergent Timelines and such stuff, even Pesterquest isn't necessarily non-canon. But it's just. Y'know. Expanded Universe, not strictly part of the continuity.

Do you perhaps have any tips on getting into hs? I've read up to like .act 3 part 4? I have the hardcover book for that but I have a super low attention span cause of severe adhd :,3

Don't force yourself if you can't go through with it. That being said, there's voice-acted videos, and I'd recommend reading it with a friend, that could help.

I don't remember the Aradiabot actually having Equius's actusl blood in it?! Were that really a thing?

If not Equius' Blood, blue blood sourced from elsewhere. It was kind of the ultimate expression of his casteism, in a way when you think about it. Though the literally having blue blood was kind of overshadowed by 'being programmed to have feelings for him', leading to her beating the shit out of him.

i'd like to hear what you'd classpect the Voices! for me, i think the Cheated is Ragebound... or at least Rage-coded considering how much BS he just sees and cuts through while taking advantage of various narrative elements like scene transitions. it's interesting that Princess changes a LOT but MC only unravels/withers and gains Voices. who're ur Top 5 Voices?

So, I've been in a character analyzing mood recently, and I'm looking to get opinions on Kratos, from God of War, and the changes he went through over the course of the series.

It's very much seeming like he's a Prince of Rage, letting his anger and disdain for yhe gods take center stage, but over the course of 2018's GOW and GOW Ragnarok, and now the Valhalla DLC, he seems to have inverted to a Maid or Knight of Hope. What do you think?

I do not know enough about Kratos, and I've not played the recent games, sooo can't really help you much here, sorry.

All Aspects are related to the Narrative in some way, though 'plot' in general- If you're speaking of the relevant bits, that would be Light. If you mean the general plot threads and the flow of the story, that's Breath. Etc etc.

i just realized the summoner a breath player led to adults being sent off from ALTERNIA. a total disconnection. breath deals with disatachment.

It was also Imperial Mandate as a response to the rebellion- Having their Agency and Life stolen in that way.

I think many fan analysis forget the fact that Equius and Vriska where neighbors. which might mean their meteors crashed together or something. but they built their houses close by for a reason. with Spidermom being the dividing line between Equius and Vriska.

Equius saw Vriska feeding lowbloods to Spidermom from his window all the time.

Equius is also the person who gave Vriska her prostheses. Equius also hides the cue ball from Doc scratch.

i think their Lusues are also a contrast. Author is a butler who assists Equius in his things including donating his blood for Aradiabot ,while Spidermom forces Vriska to feed her trolls.

i think this also has to deal with their aspects. Equius is a void player, or someone defined as irrelevant while Vriska is relevant as fuck.

some people think relevancy and information are always good, but they are not. Homestuck is about characters escaping their story.

Vriska emersed herself in a story where she was the protagonist, Equius to emersed himself in a hemospectrum narrative. but there he wasn't the protagonist

This is a fair analysis! Honestly I don't see that much like, necessary parallel or comparison between the two, other than the stated here, but admittedly I don't think of Equius in general much sooo...

If you had two Rogues of Heart who both had the ability to take on traits and powers of others by pretending to be them, they still would probably manifest those powers in different ways.

Classpects are a range of personality and being. This applies to powersets too, and even with the same exact type of power, you can have a variety of uses and ways of doing stuff.
