@zcck liked for a starter!
Evelyn scanned her environment carefully, crouching and remaining still for as long as minutes to pass before she moved. This technique had brought her to the third floor so far. Her safety net always being that she could care for herself efficiently if she were caught in this eerie building; but that was unlikely given her success rates thus far. Stealth was the expertise of the small woman and she did have both a pink can of pepper spray hooked onto her scrubs as well as a pocket knife hidden in one of the many pockets scrubs had to offer. One her brother had gotten her in the case of emergency. Luckily, she remained true to her oath of “Do no Harm”.
The building really didn’t give her any good feelings but after a homeless man muttered something about a child entering the building her instincts went off. She couldn’t leave a possibly homeless kid in here for the night? This was likely where murders or drug users came. ‘And it turned out to be the former, putting Evelyn on edge from her first mistake of entering. ‘But if there was a child in here, she would find them. She had to save them. No matter the cost.
Her body had been moving on it’s own, instinctually taking her to the fifth level of the building which made her simultaneously excited and fearful. It looked to be a hospital ward. Just like where she worked-- but nothing like where she worked. From behind a medical nebulizing chamber, she peeked out, looking and listening for any movement or sound.

The child looked up at the man before him, damn was this guy tall, why did so many noodle legged people exist, it was totally unfair.
“Are you alright? You’re covered in blood.” he asked, prepared to give the man all the gels he had.
I really want that scythe. || @zcck
Staring up through the water at the blurry shine, Serena had been floating perfectly still just below the surface of the lake water just to watch the shining object that had caught her attention minutes earlier. After those minutes, she still couldn’t figure out exactly what it was. It was such a strange shape, something she definitely hadn’t seen before. That made it all the more interesting.
The only downside was that it was being held by someone. She could tell in the way it moved every now and again, and by seeing the occasional shadow from the person fall down onto the water. She would have to time her attempt at snatching the object very carefully... If only she could actually see, maybe this would be a better idea.
Whatever, she was getting impatient.
Letting herself sink a few feet further into the water, she would allow herself plenty of room to then swim up, faster and faster. With a sudden splash and thud on the worn dock, the mershark had successfully thrown herself halfway up onto the dock and near the person, only aiming to bite the bottom of the handle of the scythe as inhuman claws dug into the dock to keep herself from sliding back into the water.

When having finally awoke, his surroundings were unfamiliar. He couldn’t quite recall where he had been last or what he had been doing, but there was something he knew for sure. He was some place dark. There had been plenty to die here and he could feel it, hear it, smell it even. His sixth sense brought the knowledge to him that from here on he could be in danger. But when isn’t he in danger? Nevertheless, he’s done well in avoiding death with the curse he’s inherited. He’d be fine on his own.
Stepping out through the door, his surroundings told him that he’d been inside of a hospital. Immediately he shivers with that knowledge. He hated hospitals. Continuing on, there had been a locked gate--no, an elevator? There’s a button to the side that’s pressed immediately. “Going up, I guess.” The elevator is rode up to the next floor and as they door open wide for him to step out, the place is a dump. It almost looks as if he’d stepped out into the city, but the barricade of walls told him otherwise.
“...B6.” He wasn’t too sure what that meant. “Basement 6 maybe?” Regardless, there were doubts that this was the floor with an exit. It didn’t smell too pleasant, but he continues on in hopes of finding one. But instead he ends up finding only garbage. News articles describing murders to take place. Eerie, but Keiko remains indifferent. The killer’s on this floor. He’ll run into him if he isn’t careful, but careful or not, running into murderers here will be unavoidable from here on out.

Every instinct tells Garry to walk on, to ignore the stranger and act like he didn’t see anything. He knew how dangerous it was talking to strangers, especially strangers that were covered in bandages and looked like trouble. But he also knew how unsafe it was staying out in the open like this at such a dark hour. Then that soft heart of his couldn’t keep him from just walking off. So finally he spoke up but made no attempts to approach the stranger.
“Excuse me? Are you okay? It’s unsafe to stay out like this, you should really find a place to stay for the evening.”
