Wait ... Whut? Who Are You?

^ You might be asking exactly that. Well, this one used to be ZE MUDRA FILES. But being slightly obsessive-compulsive, I couldn't write any stories whilst my blogs weren't in order. 

So I take this opportunity to announce that KeltsKross is back in tumblr, Ze Mudra Files is now here, and NEENdekya continues to be a fangirl both in tumblr and LiveJournal (I'm a traditionalist at heart LOL). 

Then there's Swimming in Strange Waters, and then there's Jologs in the City.

Good luck to me. My blogs are like gremlins--they multiply with every drop of water. Don't feed them after midnight. :*

The Missing Dish Soap Incident

This morning, Ze Mudra was turning the house upside-down once more, this time looking for our stock of Dish Soap.

ZE MUDRA: What? What does he (our invisible housemate) need the dish soap for? Does he have plates to wash? He wants to wash plates, he should wash OUR plates!

ME: Well, he does have our spoons.

ZE MUDRA: Well, now, we know he's not Filipino? He doesn't know how to use his hands to eat!

Ze Mudra has already accepted that we have a third roommate.

The Great Gatsby Divergence

While watching Leonardo DiCaprio as The Great Gatsby, Ze Mudra and I (well, mostly, I) came to a striking observation.

Before the 2013 came out, both Ze Mudra and I had our own encounters with The Great Gatsby--I read the book, she saw the Robert Redford movie.

When asked, the first thing Ze Mudra remembers from the Robert Redford movie was the climax -- where Daisy hits Myrtle with Gatsby's car.

When asked, the first thing I remember was how Gatsby was shaking when he picked up Nick Carraway on the day Jordan asked the latter to invite Daisy Buchanan over for tea. 

Ze Mudra relates to Daisy--how she was torn between two lovers; how she chose her husband instead of the love of her life; how she cared so much about what society would say about her.

I related to Gatsby more, simply on how he carried a torch for five years--it's more than five for me, in fact, it's been over a decade.

The Download Anomaly part 1

One morning, as Ze Mudra was using the bathroom, I used her notebook to download some of my fandom related paraphernalia. I didn't think she’d mind, so I didn't tell her I was using her notebook.  

After getting out of the bathroom and moving to her room, she cried out anxiously, “My computer is broken! I think I've got a virus!”

I panicked in guilt. I was the one downloading things into her computer, thus, it automatically became my fault that her notebook got infected. When, I came running, she said, “The computer’s downloading on it’s own!”

Exasperated, I asked her, “Mudra, there are only two of us in this house. If something’s downloading, shouldn't your first question be ’Is my daughter downloading something in my computer?’”

And she answered, “How should I know? Maraming nangyayari’ng kababalaghan dito (so many mysterious things happen here).”

The Case of the Missing Spoons

Ze Mudra has a 100 spoons. We only have one kitchen drawer and I didn't want to clutter it with too many mismatched utensils, so I kept them in a plastic container under the sink and only left some for everyday use. Ze Mudra hates washing dishes, and so as per our Roommate agreement, she cooks, and I wash up after her.

One morning, Ze Mudra and I had the following conversation.

ZE MUDRA: Where are the spoons?

ME: They're in the sink.

ZE MUDRA: That's what I've been telling you, just put out all the spoons so that if you haven't washed up, I still have something to use.

ME: All right! I'll wash it now, move out of the way (We have a tiny kitchen)

ZE MUDRA: You can't, I'm cooking right now.

ME: Don't you need it right now?

ZE MUDRA: No.

ME: Then, what do you need it for.

ZE MUDRA: For when we eat later.

ME: Then why are you asking for it now? You're not even done cooking yet?! o_O
