Lazy Sunday Mornings
You, Zeal and Kaelix had had such a busy week, filled with lots of tight schedules and lots of work. So now it was time for some relaxing around the home, as all of you had the day off.
≫ A/N: So initially this was going to be a fic with just Kaelix, but I decided to throw Zeal in there as well to make it a sort of mini chapter to the office AU series we've had so far! It's really lots of sugary sweet fluff and not really long, but I hope you'll enjoy it!

You slowly blinked your eyes as you awoke from a deep, deep slumber. You did a big stretch, letting out a satisfied moan as it hits all the spots just right, and then you just fell limp on the bed again. You couldn't be bothered to get up yet, to be honest. You opened your eyes to look around the room, and you spotted Zeal still lying next to you, peacefully sleeping. His chest rose and fell slowly as he breathed, one arm wrapped around your middle. In his sleep, he subconsciously noticed you're stirring and wrapped his arm around you a bit tighter to pull you closer to him. A soft chuckle left your mouth as you turned on your side to hug your boyfriend.
You just lay there for a little bit, admiring his beautiful face and absentmindedly moving your hand through his raven and green coloured hair. He really did look beautiful to you, but there was just something about him while he was sleeping. It always seemed like something was on his mind when he was awake, but while he was in a restful slumber, it seemed that all those worries just melted away.
You did wonder where Kaelix was, though, since his spot in the bed was empty. He probably woke up and decided to make some coffee for all of you or something.
After a little bit of time, you heard some pots clanging and some plates and utensils being moved. You were still too lazy to get up and see what your darling bouncer was up to, though, so you just stayed in bed with the raven bartender for a little longer.
When a bit more time passed, the house was being filled in wonderful smells. Ah, seems he was making you breakfast like the absolute sweetheart he is. A harmony of sweet and savoury smells filled your nostrils, and your stomach started rumbling. Hm, guess you were hungrier than you initially thought.
You gave the bartender a few soft kisses all over his face in an attempt to wake him up, and it seems to have worked. He stirred awake and yawned, his beautiful, sleepy tri-colored irises meeting yours. He smiled at you and kissed your lips lovingly.
"Hmmm, good morning, darling," he eventually spoke up as one hand weaved through your hair. "Good morning, my love. You smell that? Our boyfriend is making us breakfast," you replied as you gave him another kiss. "Ahw, that's so sweet and so thoughtful of him. Didn't expect him to be the first one up, though. Normally, that's you." Zeal said as he stretched his sleepy limbs, then went limp just like you did a few minutes ago. "I guess there's a first time for everything. Let's go see if we can help him, shall we?" You said as you slowly dragged yourself out of bed, shivering when the cold air hit your body after you threw the blanket off yourself. Your partner nodded and followed you to the kitchen after you had put on a fluffy bathrobe and some fuzzy, warm slippers.
The two of you entered the kitchen and checked in on Kaelix. He seemed busy with lots of meal components at once. Frying eggs and bacon, making pancakes, pressing some fresh orange juice and cutting up some fruit. The table had already been set. He truly had been hard at work.
"Good morning, my darling," the bartender eventually spoke up, walking up to Kaelix to hug him from behind and leave a few kisses on the back of his neck. "Ah, good morning, you two! Breakfast is almost ready, have a seat!" the bouncer said with a happy smile as he turned around to give both of you a good morning kiss. "Don't be silly, we want to help you. Is there anything that still needs to be done?" you ask as you walk up to the kitchen counter and inspect all the elements on it. "Hmm, could you maybe keep an eye on the pancakes? The last batch is almost done, but then I can finish cutting up the fruit, if that's okay." Kaelix replied after giving you a kiss on your cheek. "Of course, my love. I'll take care of it," you answered after you threw him a warm smile.
So both of you continued making breakfast together, as Zeal took a seat in his chair and dreamily looked at the two of you cooking. He really did love both of you a lot, and it was small, loving moments like these that he wouldn't trade for anything. He was still so incredibly happy that he was let into your world, and that it was now the three of you, instead of the two of you.
After a little while, breakfast was done, and Zeal helped move everything to the table. The three of you happily ate your meals and then decided on what you were going to do the rest of the day. Kaelix said that maybe you could all just have a gaming session, and then order some dinner later. You and Zeal thought that was a great idea, since neither of you felt like going out today. The weather was a bit gloomy anyway, and all three of you were exhausted because of your busy work week.
After you finished your dinner, the three of you cleaned the kitchen, loaded the dishwasher and turned it on. After that, you made your way to the living room, where you kept your consoles. You all picked up your switch and plopped down in a comfy spot. You chose to chill in the recliner, while Kaelix and Zeal both moved to the big L-shaped couch. Kaelix sat down in one of the corners, while Zeal sat down next to him, letting his legs rest on his partner's lap. You played all kinds of games together that afternoon. From Splatoon to Animal Crossing and everything in between. You had so much fun just chilling with the guys, having such a cosy, lazy sunday.
The clock was silently ticking away, and after some time, you decided that it should probably be dinner time soon. You ordered at an Italian restaurant, but you also wanted something sweet for dessert, so you also ordered at Zeal's favourite store that had lots of tasty gluten-free donuts. Kaelix ordered some pasta, pizza and garlic bread to share — also gluten-free, of course — while Zeal placed the order for the donuts. All of you played a bit more games until dinner, and soon after, dessert arrived.
You happily shared your meals with each other, just enjoying being in the present moment as much as possible. But you couldn't help but think about the busy work week that would be up ahead, and that made all of you a bit sad. You decided that you should probably go to bed early tonight so you would wake up with enough energy tomorrow.
After you finished dinner and had some donuts as a little sweet treat, you threw away the trash and gamed a little more until it was about 9PM. You looked at the clock and sighed, saying that it would probably be a good idea to take a shower and head to bed soon. The guys took a shower together, washing each other with loving smiles on their faces, and you lay in the bathtub for a little while. You did want to properly wash yourself, but you honestly just had no energy to do so. You decided to just suck it up and get to washing so the three of you would be done around the same time.
After the three of you were squeaky clean and the bathroom smelled like cedar wood and oranges, you brushed your teeth and went to the toilet one after the other. You were done first, plopping yourself in the middle of the big bed. The boys would join you soon.
The three of you just lay there for a little bit, hugging each other close and talking about how much fun you had today. You all felt thoroughly relaxed, but also a bit sleepy at this point. Only 1 more week of super hard work, and then the three of you would have a week off. You were already discussing all the fun things you were going to do during your little holiday. You hoped the sun would peek out to come and play every now and then, so you could maybe have a romantic picnic date and go on a shopping trip.
The more you all talked, the sleepier you got. Your boyfriends noticed you were yawning more and more, and they decided that that was enough talking for one day. You gave each other some soft kisses and told each other good night, soon falling asleep as you hugged each other close.
