I lowk really like ZealOS ngl. I've been craving a more retro OS for a while now and it def scratches that itch while still having a more visually appealing dark mode imo. Also the only other time I ever really ran something this retro on bare metal was when I had W*ndows XP on the same laptop, but I think ZealOS is far more fun than anything microslop ever put out.

I'm also having way more fun with TempleOS/ZealOS than I had in the past now that I actually learned a bit about how programming works. You really can just go in and change literally any of the code while it's running, and it'll automatically apply as soon as you reboot since it basically recompiles the whole OS on startup...

now I just need to figure out why Doom won't run.

it takes ZealOS (TempleOS fork) ~2 seconds to load on my older dell laptop not counting the BIOS screen. The total boot time including the BIOS screen is ~12 seconds... my dell laptop uses an HDD and zealOS still boots faster than both of my Linux systems can boot without encryption... what were they feeding Terry Davis bro

Victory over ZealOS, I finally succeeded over crafting my color scheme & saving it to the PaletteEditor repository correctly. ^*^//
