For some reason I never read the ‘Spell Slots’ section of Warlock, I just assumed it was the same as every other magic class (after all there are a few points that are word-for-word the same on some classes that have certain things in common (like spellcasting for example)). I had thought that Warlocks were balanced around their spellcasting ability: they always cast at the maximum spell slot level, but they have so few spell slots to compensate.
Turns out you get all your spell slots back after a short rest (as opposed to a long rest like every other spellcaster in the game). I’ve been playing with 2 spell slots per day... and my DM thought I was OP. Wait until next session :)
