As mentioned, this is a sequel to “Redheaded Stepchildren”. I previously had wanted to read this because that story and this author are favorites of mine, but I was worried about how invested I would get with it not being completed. However it IS completed and just wasn’t marked as so! I have an slight issue with how hateful Lip is to Mickey, as he canonly isn’t that aggressive to Mickey but I think the author does a fantastic job anyway exploring the Gallagher background and developing relationships.

@zebrawallpaper ZW!!!!! Aaaaahhhh, what a joy it is that this One Good Show has somehow brought you back to me and the tumbles! (Sure, maybe it’s just coincidental timing, but I’m still thrilled). 

The Canadians really know what’s up, and they’ve proven it by bringing the critically reviewed “A Little Bit Alexis” to its rightful place on the charts. As I was discussing with a friend the other day, it’s the kind of song I would never listen to if it had actually been a pop hit in 2004, but because it’s a parody and it’s SO spot on...I can admit it’s a banger. EVERYBODY’S GOT A HORSE.

@zebrawallpaper That actually sounds so great? The trouble has been finding blocks of time in which to actually write, but if I could manage that, I’d be so down for a write-a-thon. Those days of writing parties back during the Shameless Big Bang era were legit some of the most productive of my writing life. It figures that you’d magically reappear with all the best ideas, ZW!

I am typing this with fingers covered in Cheeto dust (jk. I already licked all that off. Let no neon orange Cheeto dust go to waste!). 

J: What does writing mean to you?

Complicated question. I suppose I’ve just always liked the feeling of being a writer. I like to think I’m a creative person, and with my intense English major roots, writing just feels like something that suits me. I like being able to put something I created out into the world like that, and with fic in particular, the level of reader engagement we get makes it especially rewarding. And I like knowing I had the drive to actually publish something. Even with my old fic that is truly terrible, I’m glad it’s there, and I’m proud I did it. I’m not a very open person in general, and I don’t share a lot of personal stuff (in real life, that is). But fic is personal, yet I’ve found a community of wonderful people who love it and support it like I do, and it’s a place where I can feel comfortable and even excited to share. It’s a nice place to be.
