Run Into My Arms

Summary: Since the escape attempt, John needs to fix his bunny's behavior and fix things with his boys. What better way, then making bunny realize they will always needer their captors?
Warnings: Yandere, kidnapping, manipulation, toxic relationship, broken ankle on purpose, Stockholm syndrome, stalking, gender-neutral reader, hurt/comfort, Dead Dove: Do Not Eat, Psychological manipulation, MDNI
A/N: I'M SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG, ANON!!!! I know you sent this around early September, and I promise I never forgot about it, but had multiple wips that didn't have endings that I was considering answering this ask with. Then a few weeks ago, had the most random thought of "What if 141 put up every precaution for reader but reader is still too determined, so John sets a trap that causes an injury and makes reader dependent on them? And reader finally accepts their fate?" I wrote it and now I can finally answer this ask!
On another note, Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all whom read this. It's been an honor to write for this fandom and so here is a present for you all! I never thought I would write a Run, Rabbit, Run sequel, yet here we are! I wish you all the best in the new year, I am off to celebrate my birthday soon. Till we meet again!
Words: 1,480
Your breathing was slow as the warmth of the blanket kept you cozy, making you drift in and out as John read his book out loud for you. The hand not holding his book, massaged above your broken ankle, that was resting in his lap, as you doze. You would almost find this moment to be a peaceful and romantic time between lovers; if not for the fact you were kidnapped and kept from escaping.
You tried to escape once, but you fucked it up. They picked up on your absence too soon, causing Simon to quickly zero in on your location and hunt you down.
You had expected cruelty from them after the escape. The most they did was scold you, restrict your outside time, and have two always near you at all times.
Sure, constant supervision was annoying, but there were worst ways to be held hostage. Plus, if you pretended to be very well behaved and remorseful, you could trick them into dropping their guard!
That was, unfortunately, how you ended up with a broken ankle. Johnny had taken you outside for some fresh air; Kyle had to leave you two for the moment to see what Simon needed help with.
You had been comfortably sat on a blanket with Johnny, when Kyle had come back to ask for his help. They debated on bringing you back inside while they were busy, but you had pleaded to stay, promising to be good and not leave the blanket while they were gone. They reluctantly let you stay, slipping back into the house after giving you your owed goodbye kisses.
That moment was your chase. You couldn’t escape yet; they were still too suspicious from last time, but you could scope out the area. It had been months since the escape, and you knew they had done some ‘maintenance’ to ensure there would not be a second attempt.
You could easily spot the new outside cameras from the blanket. It would be a pain, but you are sure a good distraction could keep them out of the study, where the monitor for the cameras resided.
There was also a fence that surrounded the property now; that was the goal of being out today. Examine the fence and find a weak point.
You checked the windows to make sure they didn’t intentionally leave you unattended to see what you would do. Thankfully, the cost was clear. You likely didn’t have much time. The reconnaissance would need to be quick, just a general understanding of the fence, before returning to the blanket.
You ran across the yard as fast as you could, making it just a few feet before you unexpectedly fell to the ground as a surge of pain burned through your leg. You couldn’t stop yourself from screaming like a banshee as tears streamed down your face.
The scream had sent the men running to your aid, finding you with your leg stuck in a hole as their poor bird screamed and cried. You yelled to not touch it, fearing the pain being made worse by being moved. John, of course, didn’t listen to your pleas as he had Simon hold you still while he eased your ankle out of the hole.
You thrashed, screamed, cried, kicked, and begged him to stop as the pain only got worse with even the gentlest of movements. John paid no attention to you as he examined the damage. He would have to risk calling a doctor or your ankle wouldn’t heal right.
John had to pull some favors to have a doctor come out and not ask any unnecessary questions. It was tedious, but worth it for your health.
He held you as you wept while waiting for the doctor, saying you had seen some birds on the fence and wanted a closer look at them. John knew; he understood. The dumb bunny thought they could leave their cushy life for the cruel world. He couldn’t have that.
He truly felt bad for causing you pain, but he couldn’t risk losing his sweet dumb bunny. You truly were spoiled if you thought he would let you walk away without a fight. He needed to have insurance that you could never run away, no matter what you tried.
Was it mean to have Johnny dig holes around the perimeter of the fence in case you tried to climb it? Yes, he knew that. But his bunny didn’t realize that they would forever struggle in the cruel outside world without them. He wouldn’t be able to live with himself if something awful happened to you! Could you really blame an old man for trying to take care of his clueless bunny?
He was making it up to you though, not that you knew. It’s why he stuck so close by your side since you sustained your injury. Making sure you took the painkillers with a full stomach, getting lots of rest, not pushing yourself to walk again, and helping to ease some of the pain the medication couldn’t take away.
He turned his gaze from his book to the cute bunny who finally drifted off. He smiled proudly down at you, reminiscing on your earlier conversation: how you had woken from a nightmare and cried out his name till he had come to check on you. The way you begged him to comfort you with those sweet, watery doe eyes.
He had laid down with you, letting the boys handle clean-up for the night. You sobbed to him about your nightmare, tearfully admitting that you feared being alone if they were to let you leave. How you wouldn’t know what to do without their assistance and guidance. That maybe being their sweet, caged birdie wasn’t such a horrible life to live like you thought.
He is relieved to know that Laswell’s advice on making and playing tapes, that would subconsciously mess with your mind, had worked to get you to stop fighting them.
He had been very affectionate and lenient since then; allowing you more freedom than you were used to, not that you left one of their sides very often. Most times you were cuddled up with someone or in view where they could keep an eye on you. Not trying to run away or subtly disappear from sight.
He could see how it made his boys relax. Simon didn’t hunt you down as often because he was worried you would flee if he let you go for even a second. Johnny took you out more, still sticking close to the house, instead of not trusting you to be left outside due to forgetting something. Now, he would leave you, still a bit nervous, only to come back and smile brightly when you hadn’t moved a muscle. Kyle didn’t need to force you to stay asleep when you would go off to bed before them; he now checks on you just to make sure you are sleeping well.
The slow, careful and precise steps of boots getting closer intentionally gave away Simon’s presence; Likely there to do his normal check ins on you.
He leaned over the couch, his arm brushing against John as he stared down at your adorable sleeping face. He knows it’s going to take Simon the longest to trust that you aren’t using their feelings to your advantage. He will just have to let you rebuild that trust on your own time.
Simon had taken your escape personally, practically inconsolable after it had happened. He blamed himself for it. For not being what you wanted and making you feel as if running would be the only way for you to achieve happiness.
John had done the trap to rebuild your relationship with everyone and it had done what it was supposed to. It’s how he managed this, your sweet attachment without the strings of deception.
Price removes the hand massaging your ankle, reaching back to cup Simon’s face. He feels the way the bigger man leans into his hand like he is getting a break from holding the world on his shoulders.
“Don’t think we need the tapes no more. Sweetheart’s been good.” Simon hummed in agreeance with John’s words. Your body language no longer of fear or detachment, but one of needing solace and comfort.
Simon still held a bit of fear of that night in his heart, but now you would call out for him instead of trying to avoid him. He felt like he fell in love with you all over again as he watched you sleep, safe where he and his boys could take care of you, and where you would always feel at home.
A pampered bunny finally realizing it was safe and willingly cuddling up to its owners. You truly would be spoiled the rest of your life, but they liked that idea.
Hii do u plan on writing a sequel about the Alastor x reader fic where reader was pregnant? Thanks!
Hellooo, sweetheart!
If you mean the "saga" The Doe & The Beast, most likely yes. I'd like to delve into the human side of Alastor and how he changes through fatherhood, but more importantly, that he'll be in love like a madman to see the physical changes of Y/N and want nothing more than to be close to her and make love to her, marking and licking like a stupid, obsessed, deer.
Chapter 1 of the sequel to See You Before is now up!
Summary:
After Uzi, N, and V save the universe nine years early because of time travel, the new timeline marches on, and they and Doll must find their place within it.
But between a persistent ghost, nosey kids, and the fact that so many people, drone and human alike, are still alive, life may be easier post-Cyn, but it is no less interesting.
Predator Badlands sequel When?? Anyways, some ideas i'm doing for a Sequel AU,still as always... can't decide a proper design for both Dek and Thia's gear (Part 1)
Technically Part 3 if you wish to include these headcanons
Requested by @lokis-imaginary-friend: If you’re not averse to it I had a thought while reading this….what if y/n overheard this conversation and feels as though she’s being treated as a transaction. Idk I could just see some angst coming from this for y/n followed by whatever fluff you come up with.

Fluff will come in a later chapter (hopefully). Enjoy!
You walked home with a spring in your step. You were happy to find the perfect set of pajamas for your boyfriend. Alastor didn't require much sleep, based on the nights you spent together and he'd spend most of them watching you, lurking among the swamp in his room, or tending to the hotel. Regardless, you knew he wanted to look his best even at more casual hours like bedtime. It was great then that you found the red silk pajamas that were perfect for him, especially since you found a matching robe that reminded you of his regular attire.
It'd been about six months since you'd been together and things were going well. Now that things were public too, you enjoyed your time more freely. The fact you two were going out interested many people, with gossip of it being all over the news. Thankfully, the paparazzi weren't stupid enough to film your dates. They must've heard the screams of that one photographer who was bold enough to sneak a photo of you on a picnic date by the Lake of Fire. Alastor was sure to broadcast his torment over a rendition of La Vie En Rose as a reminder not to intrude on your alone time.
You knew the kind of man/demon Alastor was before you became a couple. You heard the stories as well as his broadcasts. You were there during the sudden disappearances of various overlords and how it coincided with said broadcasts. No sane sinner would want to risk getting involved with someone like him. Due to how more curious than afraid of him you were and how touched and important you felt whenever Alastor threatened others who disrespected you, you had an inkling that your sanity wasn't all there. That was okay with you; you were already in Hell.
Your mother approved of him as did your sisters, which resulted in another reason you grew to love him. He enjoyed spending time with your family, too, judging from how he'd come to dinner, joke with Clara and Odette, and share light pleasantries with Carmilla. You could see they were really warming up to him and vice versa.
You might not have tamed the beast, but it certainly amazed you how much of him you got to have for yourself. It was almost too good to be true.
You were finally home after spending some time at the mall. You don't know why your mother needed you out of the house but you didn't question it. She was sometimes wary of those who did business with the family and would rather let herself handle things. If she was still talking with them, you'd do your best to sneak into your room.
Upon entering the manor, however, you heard your mother say some things that made your ears perk up:
"You won't do anything unless you know it'll benefit you. It's why you're with my daughter in the first place, right?"
Her daughter? Who exactly was she talking about, and to whom?
Her voice was coming from the library it seemed. You did your best to creep over and stood outside to hear more. What came next was certainly a shock:
"Y/N is quite a lovely lady with a certain sweetness and intelligence that I find endearing. If she so happens to come from a powerful family, then who am I to not want to get closer to someone who can mean a lot to me?"
You felt sick to your stomach just then. What was that; did you hear that correctly? He made it sound like you were just a pet to him - a mere plaything with a purpose.
A humiliating desire to cry swept through you, along with a small hope that your mother would put him in his place. She wouldn't take someone using her daughter lightly.
"If I were you, I'd do the same, I suppose,"
Now that's what brought out the tears.
What the hell was going on?
"You'll continue to treat her well. You'll continue to meet her, talk with her, and if it gets to that point, marry her."
Breathing became difficult as this unexpected betrayal weighed on your broken heart. Was this all just a plan between Alastor and your mother? Was this all a big matchmaking con that would lead to good benefits for them?
"You're smart enough to know that you should treat this like any other transaction."
You never thought your mother would have the gall to sacrifice your happiness for business purposes. She was always the type to lay her life on the line for you and your sisters. She did just that during the last Extermination Day when facing a team of Exorcists. To hear that the woman you grew up admiring treated you like a piece of property was too much to handle.
Let's not forget about Alastor! You actually believed he cared about you. Were all those times you went out on lunch and dinner dates, spent time with each other's loved ones, and shared intimate dances just part of a ruse to get you to fall for him? The fact you were nothing but entertainment with benefits saddened and embarrassed you because what everyone said about him was right.
You were right; this was all just too good to be true.
You now were fueled with anger and decided to use it to confront the two traitors.
"A transaction?"
Upon hearing your voice, Carmilla and Alastor turned towards the doorway where you stood defiantly with the Carmine glare on your face. Your normally well-composed mother expressed more worry than you ever saw her with. Meanwhile, Alastor kept his large grin as usual, but you could tell he was shocked due to how big his eyes were, and it almost looked too painful for him to smile.
"Y/N-"
"Is that all I am to the two of you?" You asked, blinking back tears. "A business deal - just a prize to be won? Is that why you needed me out of the house Mom? To discuss my dowry?"
Carmilla's astonishment kept her from speaking. She wanted to explain that this was simply a way to assure you a good future if you continued things with Alastor and that no harm would come to you, but she was at a loss for words seeing how betrayed you looked.
"And you Alastor!" You rounded on him next. The man you loved for half a year but now don't even know what to make of him. He's practically a stranger now. "I knew you weren't a saint, but I didn't think you'd stoop so low as to only date me for my family. I can't believe you'd use me like that!"
"Y/N," he began, getting out of his seat to go towards you with more emotion than you ever saw him, even with his smile remaining. "Sweetheart, you misunderstand -"
"You saw me as nothing but a prize," you uttered quietly, backing away from him with your head down. "You already have connections to the throne, so it's best to protect it with your connection to the biggest collection of weapons in Hell, right?"
His silence spoke to you more than any clever words he could conjure up for you. His silence spoke the truth.
You didn't stay much longer, especially since neither could bother to give you a proper response. You ran out of the house, ignoring their pleas to stay. You needed to get away and reflect on everything.
📖 Fic Snippet: [You Tame My Heart, I Charm Yours], a sequel to Of Taming Dragons and Charming Cupboards
This is something I physically NEEDED to write, and I finally did it! Not explicit (for once), but veeery fluffy and sweet. Guys, not gonna lie, it happened solely for this one part:
“I mean it.” Harry gripped his waist tighter, terrified and certain in equal measure. “I know it sounds mad, and you may not have planned on doing the whole marriage thing twice, but I can’t… I can’t pretend I don’t want this anymore.”
Draco stared at him, utterly gobsmacked.
“I know this came out of nowhere,” Harry said, cursing under his breath. Had he completely miscalculated? “And you’d deserve something more original than some clichéd proposal in Paris like a million other people have, but…” He caught Draco’s hand and threaded their fingers together. “I know for a fact that if I had a ring and a proper plan, I’d never find the courage to do it. So…” His heart was beating so fast it might have leapt off the balcony on its own. “Will you do me the honour? What you’d say?”
He looked into those grey eyes, breath held. And of all the reactions he thought Draco might have, it certainly wasn’t for that stunned expression to collapse into an eye-roll and a long-suffering sigh. In one smooth motion, Draco tugged his hand free and reached into his pocket, pulling out… a velvet box.
“Is that…?”
It was Harry’s turn to gape.
“Yes, you berk, it is,” Draco said, flicking his nose and setting the box on the railing. “Clichéd Paris proposal? Unoriginal? Really? Thank you ever so much for that.”
“But…” Harry’s eyes widened in horror as the realisation dawned. “This whole trip… you insisting on it…”
“Well, yes.” Draco’s smile turned sour with exasperation. “In hindsight, I might’ve spent the money on my own ring, seeing as I’m clearly not getting one. Oh no,” he snapped the box away just as Harry reached for it. “You’re not wearing this one—I’m quite sure no one’s asked you to marry them.”
“Oh, come on.”
“Absolutely not!” Draco yelped as Harry lunged, shoving the box behind his back.
“Give it to me. Give me the bloody ring, Draco! I want it.”
They wrestled; Harry was half laughing, half desperate, and finally managed to wrench the box free…almost. He had it in his grasp when Draco’s nails scratched across his palm and he jerked.
Both of them watched in dawning horror as the small, dark blue box bounced once against the railing and then vanished into the dark street below.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake,” Draco groaned, throwing his hands up and storming off the balcony to slam the glass door behind him.
Harry stared down at the street where the ring had disappeared, and slowly, irresistibly, a grin spread across his face.
