time for me to ramble about kids movies
ZOMBIES (Disney)
zombies 1 - the zombies are allowed to go to highschool !!! what do the zombies represent here? what is Addison's role?
the zombies here represent black people, (I'm saying black people [or colored people]here because not all slaves came from Africa, and not all black people are descendants of slaves !! if this offends anyone, please tell me I will remake the post :D also not saying poc bc that includes Asian people, black people, and literally anyone who is not white) specifically the descendants of slaves. a 'problem' that the people of Seabrook created. they made the zombies, and then describe them as ultra violent unintelligent subhumans. they have their own language, and are harassed for using it. (this is actually similar to aboriginal people). they are put into their own town, given shitty jobs, and a curfew in enforced. when they're finally allowed to go to school they are caged off from the rest of the students, and kept in the basement. similar to when colored people were finally let into white schools. they were harassed and spit on and kept in the shittiest classroom with the least qualified teacher they could hire (in zombies, he was a janitor beforehand). Addison plays a role here that is often very misunderstood. which pisses me off greatly. Addison is different. she has a "genetic mutation" that anywhere else in the world would be cool! but in Seabrook, it is disgusting and must be hidden. she tries to bond with the zombies due to this. (SHE DOES NOT THINK SHES A ZOMBIE. SHE DOES THINK SHE BELOMGS WITH THE ZOMBIES BECAUSE SHE CONSIDERS HERSELF AN OUTCAST). Zed takes her in, namely because he thinks she's hot, and ignored the harassment from friends that ensues. the movie goes on, zed causes himself physical harm to be liked by others, and "whites himself down" similar to how some colored people would straighen their hair, or bleach their skin, and wear clothes white people would. this works until he snaps and starts acting like a typical zombie. which makes everyone in the crowd switch on zombies IMMEDIATELY. Addison shows everyone her mutation. zed is proud. and wheeled away. Addison screams at them because it was, in fact, everyone in the stands fault. eventually they get over themselves.
moving on because that's all I really care about discussing for that movie. anyone have anything to add ?
zombies 2 - what do the wolves represent? what is Addison's role? how do the zombies treat the wolves?
the wolves represent native people. people who were there first, and were painted as savages. they were scared off (killed off) and painted as local legend. until they need to recharge their moonstone. they go into Seabrook, scaring citizens, which makes the zombies have to go back to zombie town and not school with everyone else. they resent the wolves for this.
blah blah I don't really care about explaining more about the zombies/wolves dynamic. all I will say is the zombies resentment pissed me off. "the zombie way" pissed me off. but it was supposed to. so good job writers.
Addison's role in this movie. fuck I love this. and I hate half of the fandom for this. all of the wolves have white streaks in their hair. similar to someone? Addisons bright white can't be dyed hair? the wolves tell her she's an alpha wolf. she believes them because we'll, it makes sense to her, and it gives her a place to belong. which is all she's wanted, basically all her life. this is the ONLY TIME ADDISON THOUGHT SHE WAS SOMETHING SHE WASNT, AND SHE ACTUALLY WAS IF YOU GIVE IT.MORE THAN A SECONDS FUCKING THOUGHT (but more on that soon :3)
zombies 3 - I'll give you a guess what the aliens in this movie represent. Addison's role? obvious.
aliens represent refugees. they came for the gem they lost. everyone hates them. Addison finds out she IS an alien. and she got the genetic "mutation" from her mother.... who got it from her mother..... whos mother/grandmother? was on the ship that lost the gem....
hmmm..... almost as if that "great alpha" that lead them to the moonstone was..... not a wolf. and was one of the aliens. and they were right about Addison... because well... she lead them to it. and she is an alien.

I wrote this all because I was sick of people hating my girl addy "she thinks she's everything" "next she's gonna say she's a vampire or mermaid!!!1!1" I hate all of you and you're stupid.
