A thing that annoys me about American TV shows or films is 'how can we show this character is British? I know, let's get them to say Zed where we say Zee'.

I understand why it's done but at the sake time. Its the technical name.

For example NZT (en zee tee) but it has to be pronounced by a British person as En Zed Tee.

I'm Canadian.  I work in the US.  I was reading 4-character codes to an American.  The codes ended in "Z".  Below is what he wrote.
