Just recieved the most LOVELY commission from @midgelslovebug!! She was sooooo patient with drawing maul as he's a PAIN IN THE ASS TO DRAW - guy who likes drawing him and is also insane

Once maul trusts zed enough he'll feel comfortable enough to occassionally mope on him. Zed lets him and complains with him as kind of a love language

I know this month talks a lot about how our f/os would handle our disabilities, but id like to talk about my approach to mauls.

His metallic legs may need to have some parts replaced over time, which may not always be easy. I think this would give him the idea to make a walking aid, but zed would certainly help him out with that. He helps him move around, and is very delicate with his legs, especially after hes fallen so hard for him.

He also gets a lot of back problems, and frankly, i think zed would too. They take turns massaging each other.

I dont see many people touch on this but i also think hed have digestive problems. He has to make sure to eat slowly and at small intervals, as i imaginge the transition from organic stomach to mechanical intestines may not be the smoothest. Talzin fixed all that, but i get the feeling his body still remembers. Zed likes to kae broths for him. And though hed rather die than tell anyone, he likes stomach rubs somrtimes.

Hes also canonically prone to hallucinations, and i think he and zed have worked on some grounding techniques. Even if its just feeling zed. Touching his hands, carressing his face. It helps maul and zed gets kind touches in return.

I just love him immensely and would never judge him for the parts of disabilities that werent badass or pretty, and im jot sure hed judge his significant others disabilities, becuse hes lived through far worse. And id want to remind him that hes not on lotho minor anymore

Despite growing up in the Jedi order, Zed began referring to Obi Wan as "kenobi" by associating with Maul so much. Even long after abandoning the dark side, he still says it that way.

well, that escalated quickly

i know this healing au is a more domestic setting but its also very unconventional. And i think that works for someone like me.

We found a home! Its a fixer upper! Its a shack in the middle of a desolate planet ravaged by the empire, i found it first after i broke up with you and you let me leave, until you collapsed into my arms.

We both have jobs! You hunt to curb the bloodlust that raised you and i actively contribute to toppling a fascist regime.

We split chores! Because we're both disabled after anabdoning a path that ravaged our bodies.

We have sweet moments! Intercut by trying to mend an innitially toxic relationship, trying to figure out what love even is.

So the only way im able to do something domestic is if it really isnt.
