I’m still doing this ^^ I think it’s coming along. @zeldahijinks here ya go!!!
The next day Leuda got out of his pool bed and went to get some breakfast. He hopped into his seat and looked around. Kari was not there and his father had just walked in. Leuga looked at his father and opened his mouth to speak.
“Where’s Kari?” He asked simply.
Sidon smiled slightly. “She’s not exactly a morning person. Maybe you should go wake her up?” He informed. Leuga sighed and nodded. He hopped off his seat and went to wake the girl up.
Leuga went as fast as he could to the only room in the whole domain that had a bed fit for a Sheikah. When he was looking at it he knocked on the door. There was rustling and a groan.
“Five more minutes.” Kari’s voice called tiredly.
Leuga sighed. “Breakfast is almost ready.” He informed.
“But sleep, Leuga…” Kari called again. Leuga sighed and opened the door and pulled the covers off the girl, being sure she fell off the bed. “AH! Ok, I’m up!” Kari huffed while rubbing her head. “Just lemme get changed.” She said, tugging on her long silver scarf, which it appeared she never took off, and Leuga left. Not long later the girl exited her room, wearing her usual clothing, which consisted of a t-shirt that was midday sky blue with a silver waning crescent moon on the front, and blue jean shorts that went a bit below her knees. Her feet were wrapped in bandages, rather than having shoes on. She stretched and sighed.
Kari nodded. “Yeh. Let’s go I guess.” She said with a yawn and walked with Leuga to get some food, har arms resting behind her head and her gaze a bit tired. The two entered the dining room and took their seats.
Sidon smiled. “Good morning, sister. Sleep well?”
“I want more sleep, Sidon.” Kari whined, resting her chin on the table.
“Don’t put your chin on the table, it’s rude. Anyway, breakfast is your favorite.” Sidon chuckled and Kari straightened and looked at Sidon with wide eyes and gasped.
Sidon nodded with a chuckle. “I told the chefs to do so. Just as a sort of, welcome home treat.”
“I have the best big brother!” Kari giggled while Sidon chuckled.
After breakfast Leuga decided to go out for a bit, as did Kari but the two were doing there own thing. Kari was going to train her abilities and Leuga was going to swim with his friends for a bit. Kari tried her best to figure out how to get back to her time, but she could not figure out exactly how she did it and it frustrated her.
Two hours went by and the sheikah child decided to go take a break by the river. She liked how the water looked at this time of day. That’s when she spotted Leuga and waved at him. “Hey, Leuga!” She greeted. The other Zora kids looked at him.
“And how does she know you?”
Leuga sighed. “The lost adopted princess from fourteen years ago. So, my aunt.” He informed. Kari trotted up.
“Whatcha up to?” She asked kindly.
“Oh, just swimmin’.” One of the other kids smiled. “I’m Iki.” She smiled.
“And I’m Ryo.” The other waved kindly. “Wait, you look so young for being missing for fourteen years.”
Kari grumbled.”First, don’t call me short. Second, my being missing is kinda a long story.”
“Anyway, what brings you here Kari?” Leuga asked while turning his head towards the girl.
The sheikah child shrugged. “I just saw you while I was taking a break from my training and thought I’d say hi.” Leuga just nodded and sighed.
Ryo gasped. “Hey, wanna join us?!” He asked excitedly.
“Nah, I can’t exactly swim well in deep water. I sorta panic if my feet can’t touch the bottom of the area I’m swimming. I’m still trying to get better though.” She said shyly and rubbed the back of her head. “Well, uh, I’ll just go back to practicing. Nice meeting you.” She informed and left. That was when an idea came to mind, causing her to smile.
Kari went to the palace and looked for Sidon. “Sidon.” She called.
“In my room.” He called back and Kari went to see him.
“Got any pictures of your wife? Full body pictures.” She asked quickly. Sidon sat up and looked to Kari.
“Just answer the question.” She sighed, narrowing her eyes in slight annoyance.
Sidon sighed and stood up. He shuffled through some papers and pulled out a small box and handed it to here. “Be careful with them.” He said. Kari nodded and gently grabbed the box and took it to her room only to leave and grab some rocks from outside the domain and take them to her room. She searched through the images and found one she liked and took a rock in her hands.
She skipped lunch that day and kept her door locked, however she did leave her room swiftly to sneak some food into her room. There were sounds of frustration every so often, which worried the staff that walked past her room. Soon it was dinner time and Kari had finally left her room to join. Sidon blinked and looked at the girl.
“What’ve you been up to, Kari?” He asked, but the girl only winked and put her right index finger over her toothy grin.
“It’s a secret.” She giggled and began eating dinner when it got out.
That night when Leuga was ready for bed, there was a knock on his door. The prince sighed and opened it. There stood Kari holding a box. “Mind if I come in?” She asked. Leuga just nodded and let her in.
“What’s in the box?” He asked.
Kari giggled happily. “Well, since I haven’t been here for any birthdays I thought I’d make you a gift. One I thought that’d really make you smile. Or, at least I hope it will.” She said, nudging the box to him. The prince sighed and opened it. He was so used to people getting him cards that he couldn’t make out or a gift he needed eyes to use fully that it was just a chore at this point.
However this gift was different. It was a figurine of a woman in a dress. A figurine that was crafted in such a way that he could actually see each and every detail. The swirl patterns in the dress, how it all blended together, the facial expression, and each little hair. He was stunned silent. Kari smiled. “You like it?”
“Who is this?” He managed.
Kari giggled. “It’s your mom.” She said and Leuga could feel tears streaming down his face. “I wanted to make it well, and it took a while to get my abilities to go so. I made it out of stone since wood wouldn’t be the best in water.”
“Th-thank you.” He gulped, wiping the tears off his face. Kari just smiled and hugged him.
“Yeh, yeh.” She said and stood, but Leuga stopped her.
“Hey, uh… If… When you go back to your time. Promise me you’ll make figurines like this of my mom each chance you get.” He said, holding his gift in his hand gently, but firm enough as to not drop it.
Kari smiled and giggled. “Why wouldn’t I? Now that I know it makes you happy, I’ll make them of everyone you deserve to have by your side. Not just your mom.” She informed with the widest smile. “Man, I’ll need more practice though.” Leuga chuckled.
“I’m sure you’ll have plenty of time. Auntie.” Kari looked at Leuga and blushed.
“W-well, uh, l-look at the time I should really be going. You need your sleep and all. G’night!” She said and left the room. “He called me auntie. I’m not used to this. I’m only ten!” She talked to herself while walking to her room, her face a deep crimson.
As the night carried on, a figure watched the domain from the shadows. An enemy. He had purple hair with two black slashes on either side of his head that curved around but never joined and a bit of black on the bang in the middle that was a bit thick and curved slightly to the right. His hair was messy with the left side longer than the right. His eyes a piercing green color and his pupils were “X” shaped. He had a fang sticking out of the left corner of his mouth while his forehead and breast bone bore a symbol of an eye with purple irises and the white parts of the eyes actually colored gold. His clothes consisted of a dark purple t-shirt with a green coiled snake on the front and worn dark blue jeans and black shoes. He chuckled.
“So, you’re back. Good. Now we can finish where we left off.” He said, voice dripping with malice, and sunk into the shadows.
