Perhaps this is just something I noticed but when Amity is taking a final stand against her mother in this scene here
Hunter is watching with apprehension, like he’s just now piecing together the advice Amity had shared with him at ‘Eclipse lake’
Flock Together
"Place 1 monster from your Deck in your Spell & Trap Zone as a face-up Continuous Spell. You can banish this card from your GY; place 1 monster from your Deck in your Spell & Trap Zone as a face-up Continuous Trap. You can only use 1 'Flock Together' effect per turn, and only once that turn. The total number of cards in the Monster Zones and face-up Monster Cards in the Spell & Trap Zones must be 10 or more to activate either of this card's effects."
There are a few projects I've done that I remind myself of when I'm feeling down and like I never accomplish anything. Flock Together is one of them. Huge thanks to everyone who's left comments on that fic over the years.
[ Quackity felt see-through.
maybe it was because he never showed his belly, he thought. even in the barn, every person who walked past him was a gust of cold air that tickled his body. or maybe because his wings were barely hidden under the top Niki had sewn him–
it was new, awkward to be so bare. but oddly nice. he had yet to be scraped by a judgemental eye, and the elbows that bumped him were everything but mean. while Niki did the hostess thing, he sat aside, holding a cookie in a napkin as he watched her. he'd get up if she went further away. ]
@kindagirl
birds of a mfkn feather.
your rand pfp makes me so happy but also like all of the things listed in your bio are so good you have such good taste
also favorite community episode?
shaking shaking (/vpos) !!!!! Community!
Okok normally I would be like “oh well there’s so many episodes I love I can’t just pick one-“ but I can, I do have a favorite community epsiode and it’s not even close.
2x02 Accounting for Lawyers
it is, the most perfect episode of community( not my opinion, it’s a fact). It is situated perfectly in community’s golden era and is community at its purest form. It’s got classic Jeff trying to get back to his old life but showing the cracks of his love hidden underneath his cold cool lawyer exterior ( also he’s not cruel like he is later or too mena like he is s1)
And every other single character is at their very best. They’re all working together for once and it’s really beautiful. Shirley is good, Britta is fabulous, Pierce is not that bad. And don’t get me started on Troy abed and Annie, they steal the show this episode truely. They’re the perfect silly group and I am constantly bemoaning the fact that we didn’t get them interacting more, even when they moved in together.
Anywyas tldr, it’s a great epsidoe before it all got bad and weird, and it sets up for one of the best moments in the show( Alan’s return in s5).
Also what your favorite epsiode?
‘Flock Together is a support club combating the underrepresentation of black, brown and other people of colour (POC) in nature. Inclusivity is the main message. There are three main purposes to the collective’s existence; firstly to tackle the representation of POC in nature, secondly providing a creative platform for those people, and lastly, mental health support. Flock Together aims to gain representation for people of colour in green spaces. It also promotes the message that Nature is a universal resource, and thus should be safe and welcoming for everyone. “Together we are reclaiming green spaces and rebuilding our relationship with nature - one walk at a time.”
‘‘Representation is important in every single space not only in “bird- watching”. Our focus with Flock Together is about helping the POC community understand that the “outdoors” is their birthright. A space for healing, support, inspiration and so much more. It’s one of the few places you can go where nothing is required of you. If we are visible in, not only these spaces, but all spaces from which we are prevented access, we will be giving hope and courage to the future generations to occupy said spaces and create new norms in a society which still finds our community missing out from all there is to be benefitted from.’’
We live in a world which prioritises white minds over Black, Brown and ethnically diverse minds. A world which debates the value of POC lives and bodies. A world where being POC is bad for your health (US & World Report, 2016). The idea of wellness and self-care takes on an even more important role in today’s society. The newly launched platform GLOW LIFE, offers Black, Brown and ethnically diverse communities an inclusive space to finding their inner glow.”
