Title: Don’t Trust Those Smiles
I got this wonderful commission done for me by the amazing @froschkuss Here be Alva and Zevran, grilling marshmallows over an open flame (and plotting their next scheme of chaos, disruption and mayhem). Alva just had to have marshmallows. Being a home cook, and a disturbingly resourceful one at that, she managed to scrounge up the ingredients needed.
For those who don’t know, Alva is my Modern Girl in Thedas, non-Inquisitor, from my Dragon Age: Inquisition fanfiction Out Of the Blue, which was inspired by the wonderful @aurianavaloria‘s Modern Girl in Thedas (also non-Inquisitor) fanfiction (same fandom), From the Beyond. To give a brief summary of the story (mine, that is):
Just as Alva's life was about to change for the better, Earth changed for the absolute worst. Lost, alone and far away from her loved ones, she finds herself in a world that she believed existed only in games - a world with rampaging demons, racist elves and scheming Orlesians.
With her magic manifesting far differently than at home, she must learn to tackle her newfound power and quickly. Will the templars come hunting for her? Will the Dalish who found her merely hand her over?
Or does Fate have something much worse in store?
Public Service Announcement: May contain traces of “The Shem and the Seven Elves”, Zevran panties and “Fixardium Healiosa”. The author can’t guarantee that you won’t snort cocoa, coffee or tea (or any other, safe-to-drink liquid, for that matter) out of your nose from sudden bouts of laughter. Consume beverages while reading at your own risk.
I now have to write a scene to match this gorgeous art.
Big thank you to @froschkuss for creating this beautiful drawing for me. You’re a darling to work with and I can’t recommend you enough!
