although she was almost fifty, jocelyn had no intention of slowing down. every entrance of hers was an announcement that people had to acknowledge to keep her happy; she demanded attention and respect but the latter would be questionable after her behaviour. “and the party is here!” the woman yelled out before opening the expensive bottle of champagne in her hand. as it fizzed over, she put her thumb over the top of it to ease it. “only the best!” her personal assistant would make sure that the other twenty bottles made it to her within the next hour.
ellie jerked her shoulder up in an attempt to get the strap of her duffel further back, her arms already full with her binders of choreography and scripts. of course it didn’t work and her duffel came sliding down her arm, sending her off balance and almost tumbling to the ground. she regained her footing at the cost of her binders, which slid across the concrete until they came to a stop at someone’s feet. “sorry,” she called out, groaning quietly as she moved to pick the binders up. “just...pretend you didn’t see that.”
“Technically, that coffee has a name written on it, you know? And I’m kind of - I mean, I’m kind of expected back with it? But I could totally get you one on my next run? If that sounds... reasonable?” Callie hesitated, glancing down at her own to-go cup, then back at the person. “You can have mine, though, if you’d want? I can still function for a little while longer without caffeine.”
“how much caffeine is too much?” harry questioned aloud, scrolling through her youtube feed absentmindedly and nursing an empty coffee cup in her free hand. “i didn’t sleep at all last night and in the last hour i’ve had three venti double shots on ice. if i suggest another coffee run, seriously just incapacitate me in some way.”
it still feels like a dream that she is actually here--that she's actually playing a part in one of the new series being produced by the studio. she’s been here for a few months and she can’t still believe it. the brunette continued to walk around the area, eyes gleaming with awe as she looked around. she really ought to focus on where she was going, but she's just walking aimlessly. well--at least, until she ended up bumping onto someone. valentina snapped back to reality instantly with worry clouding her gaze as she apologized instantly, “ oh my--i’m so sorry! i wasn’t looking where i was going. are you okay? ”
“ HEY, what are you doing later?” connor asked, peeking his head around the corner of the doorway as the words left his mouth. his day had been longer than anticipated, and with the next two days off, he desperately wanted some relaxation time. preferably with company. “i’m planning on having an x-files marathon of my own. i’ve got, like, three bottles of wine and i’m totally down for ordering some thai food. so, what do you say?”
“in theory, though, wouldn’t the all stuff oreos get bad quickly? i can’t imagine the shelf life for the creme center would be very long.” he bit into another oreo, turning the package to his companion to offer them one. “i think i’ll stick with the good ole double stuff, myself, even if the all stuff oreos were just an april fool’s day prank.”
