ZEN Productions: 5 Years Shadowcasting @ Lunacon
Founded in January 2009 and performing since April of that same year, ZEN has been running shadowcasts -- stage productions wherein a film is played, and the actors on stage mimic the performances of the film, often playing to in-jokes and adding chaos and ribaldry to the show -- for enough years that they just might be considered a seasoned troupe! As the Zydrate Enthusiasts Network, they shadowcast recent cult favourite Repo! The Genetic Opera, while as The ZEN Room, they play to all-time classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Word has it that they’re expanding their portfolio and will have interesting, new stuff coming down the line!

ZEN has performed at five Lunacons now, and it’s been a great run that hopefully they’ll continue for some time. The shows are fantastic!
Rumour mill has it that they’re retiring their Repo! slot on Friday night, at least for this year. Apparently, there will be a Saturday Night performance of Rocky (it’s at an early bird hour of 10pm, partly I think because they want to get to the room parties, which tend to be at their most fun in the midnight hour), and an all-new surprise performance on Friday. Could be anything, but the Lunacon site seems to have a few hints. In the meantime, will Repo return next time? We’ll have to wait and see!
