Zephora reminds me of Sephora…. I’m sorry 😭

Is that the French cosmetics brand?

I'm not into make up or cosmetics, so I'm very much an outsider briefly glancing in.

I chose the name after finding a lady born in 1587 Eynesford Norfolk called Zephora.

There's a lot of debate about the origins of the name itself. You can find a Zipporah or Tzipporah in the Bible, the wife of Moses, if I remember my Sunday School days correctly. But there's also some evidence for it being of Arabic origin's too. It seems that if it did come from the Hebrew root, the softer f sound came with its translation from Hebrew and Greek to Latin, where it became Seffora.

All that aside, according to what I can find so far, the scriptural rendering of Tzipporah is צִפּוֹרָה which roughly translates to 'bird'. Please, if I have anyone here who knows Ancient Hebrew or who can direct me towards more information, I'd love to further educate myself on this.

You know it’s serious when there’s only Tumblr left for me to post my thoughts.

It’s 3am and the mention of you makes me nostalgic,

for our friendship.

Never did I ever feel such a connection before, 

never did I share so much with someone in such a short amount  of time, 

It’s been over a year since we conversed normally.

It’s been over a year since you’ve kept a conversation going with me through text.

It’s been over a year since I’ve felt so happy about a mere friendship with someone.

Maybe I was so lonely that I latched on to the first person who gave me attention...

Or just maybe I thought our bromance was the truth.

i'm surprised my mom isn't yelling for me to go to bed at this time.

i'm surprised all my friends are sleep, so i'm stuck with typing this. 

attempting to express myself through words when i can barely express myself through actions.

is this normal?

it feels like what i'm feeling isn't out of the ordinary and that i'm not the only one.

but with limited people to talk to, which is my choice, no one relates.

it's sad when you take comfort in spilling your guts onto the internet where no one may even read it and you can't even tell your best friend.

it's sad how i can boldly post this, admitting my fear when i can't even admit it to my friends.

it's sad when i stand everyone up because i'm tired of being the odd one. the left behind one that everyone says, "she's mean or rude" just because i can't relate.

it's sad but complaining is all i'm doing. 

this is life.
