A little photo journey thru my supper tonight, featuring these Zephyr squash from Hollygrove Mkt that remind me of Straw & Hay tagliatelle. So I cooked these squash with a lengthwise cut, pretending they were pasta, with spicy berbere & fresh mint...ah, chiles & mint! Then I had some purple string beans, which invariably turn green when cooked, with a corn stew aka succotash or macque choux. Served with a treasure from Oregon: a 2013 Vermentino from Rose & Fern, sourced in Applegate Valley in Southern Oregon, which was drinking delicious with brightness, pears, and that hint of walnuts I get in typicité from Vermentino. #oregonwine #applegatevalley #hollygrovemarketandfarm #zephyrsquash #nolaeats
