     there  is  a  static  noise  in  the  air,  and  it  rings  in  his  ears.  his  head  feels  heavy  --  perhaps  for  the  perturbations  and  burdens  clouding  his  mind  constantly  yet,  jaekyung  cannot  feel  any  sense  of  liberation  from  the  pestering  thoughts...  whenever  his  fingers  gently  glide  the  pick  against  his  favorite  guitar,  each  sound  the  string  makes  causes  him  to  revolt  with  rancor  and  distaste.  it  is  as  if  disdain  conquered  his  heart  and  no  longer  can  he  hear  anything  but  the  duress  engulfing  him  whole.  disgruntlement  is  evident  in  the  leaden  exhale  heaved  of  his  lips  the  moment  sungkyu  enters  the  small  studio  in  their  dorms.  jaekyun’s  eyes  dart  to  him  expeditiously  before  there’s  a  small  hopeful  simper  stretching  across  his  lips.      ❛    i  hope  you  didn’t  show  up  with  empty  hands,  hyeong.  i’m  thirsty...  and  hungry,  too.    ❜      ╱      @zephyrvm

Nights in the city could be so misleading. Lampposts lit a rusted warm false flame barely breaking through the sea of Red, yellow and green. Accented by shops which never sleeped and the soft booming of base from some door or another. Click, thus, scratch the sounds of people moving here and there and the incessant hum of engines as cars rolled around on paved streets.

It used to be the night was feared, respected, for 'thing's liked to come out to play in the deep dark that seemed void of life or sound... now night is forgotten away, with the ramblings of city life...

Still for every change, every era of human progress... there could be something gained. No longer were the times of fear and occult desires where hed be summoned by some hypocrite or child and left to do evil things, now it was all about aesthetic and the clumsiness of mankind.

The clumsiness that lead this beautiful 20-something to run late at night alone. A health that fades quickly as she whimpers and tries to struggle... but the yanks beneath experienced hands Merely excites the monster within and the jugular beneath those fangs fell silent.

The feed... his favorite way. Why simply drain energy when you could taste and feel and savor liquid life, a deep low growl bubbling in his throat as he drew slow sucks of gamey blood type B with little effort thanks to his meals healthy heart.

Yes the clumsiness of mankind, so focused on screens and themselves to take in the world around them any longer, a wonderful time for him to happily be but a beast.

Libraries are one of the last few sanctuaries that are left untainted by memories of his twin’s bloodied and clingy imprints. Although the two were inseparable, the realm of unturned pages and strict silence kept his twin’s antics at bay. The utopia continues to instil a sense of tranquillity where he feels like he had been holding his breath the entire time and only then did he remember to breathe the irony being that he is no longer alive. On a mission this time, he browses through the historical and mythical section to gain any more information he can about the recent apparitions taking form in more traditional Korean folklore. Checking out several books, he walks to the elevator with another girl who he recognises was also skimming through the historical section. Throwing her a little smile when they both enter the lift, he presses for the ground floor, attempting to show off how he’s barely managing to hold multiple books underneath one arm. 

All peaceful thoughts fly out of his mind the minute the lift comes to a screeching halt in between floors. Jabbing at random buttons in annoyance, he frowns when nothing responds. When the lights begin to flicker rapidly, he hurriedly jumps back from the buttons before uncertainly glancing at the female — his eyes locking with the unfamiliar green eyes. “Uh... do you want to try? I think it’s stuck. Didn’t even know this was possible in this country.” thumping a fist on the doors for emphasis, he grumbles a curse when the lights completely go out. “Shit.”

     “god, my head is murdering me, and my boss sending me all these fuckin’ emails about the deadline isn’t helping.” neither is the espresso shot she just pounded back, nor are the blaring bright lights surrounding her open laptop, but that’s neither here nor there.

     “i can watch you work forever.” with the way tone falls soft and still between them, it sounds like a secret not meant for her ears, like a compliment he was saving for the right time. but eyes are steadfast in their focus on her hands, lost in the comfort of magic against his own.
