I know that everyone's talking about Comfrey's realization and Max and Torse's romantic tension but I wanna put it out there that the most impactful quote from yesterday's episode for me was "You look and see that this is not the first time you fought Straka. You've been fighting it your entire life."

Monty spent his entire career fighting against the Queen's Smog and every other destructive thing in Gath. He spent his whole life brushing elbows with people who thought they were too rich to care. He wrote books and told stories and grasped for attention, just to get enough power to protect his world. His friendship ended with Comfrey over it, because she was so blinded by the sky that she didn't look down at where she was. And he stared into the maw of Straka and saw everything he'd ever fought, stuffed into one monstrous vessel. And it almost consumed him.

Nature Check He rolled a 17! Ludmila and Torse meeting some of the life coming back to Zern after the mess. ipad kept trying to die so I rushed the color. Idk if I can properly put it into words but the ih asked "what's the catch" specifically to zumahras honor system but that type of unwavering trust and kindness is found through our zood and I think it has something to do with the separation of the energies

Zood has no corrosion or erosion, no corrosion of morals no erosion of trust that's the catch is they have separated themselves completely from the "bad" parts of being a living being

It's similar to how torse's golden heart stops him from feeling rage but it also stops him from feeling a lot in general

On the flip side zern does not have growth or change, to grow past the pain and change for the better

Brennan had comfrey say only villain monsters and politicians like a binary and zood and zern have forced themselves into one when it should be so much more complicated

i wouldn’t trust comfrey as far as i could throw her, but it must be said that perhaps in this one specific instance i am a comfrey apologist…
