HERO 001 - he/him - transmasc - 18y/o

The City's first, and oftentimes only necessary, line of defense. Second-in-command only to The Sun, Cyan is a reclusive, snappy, and standoffish figure; often blunt and unfriendly, despite his appearances in the public eye (in place of his superior) suggesting otherwise.

When he's not performing for the camera, he spends his time fighting; a dangerously fast rifle specialist with a hobby for wiping entire groups of corrupt, leaving entire blocks of the city red. He's got a strong rebellious streak, desperate to break the chokehold The Sun has on him, however, and often sneaks out of the chapel to engage in fighting rings with the very same corrupt he was built to slaughter. Thus, opinions on him are... understandably mixed at best.

Zero Day

Guess who came up with a new AU? With quite a bit of help from friends, of course.

Humans discovered Utrom performing experiments on humans and animals, turning them into horrible mutants. The Utrom retreated, but left their technology and the mutants behind. Mankind used the technology to advance their civilization rapidly.

Generations later, mutants live among humans, but are frequently discriminated against, and in some locations even segregated from them.

Recently, unregistered mutants are showing up dead, and a group of ragtag friends are trying to figure out why on their own.

sun god! im not super happy with this, doesnt feel as regal or as horrifying as i hoped. this ones esp subject to change. also i should take the tree into account when drawing a final design

The turtles grew up in an orphanage together, but were all adopted out to different families. They haven’t seen one another since.

This Leo aspired to be an officer of the law, but mutants aren't permitted to do so, but he still wanted to serve the people. 

So he did so by being a court stenographer in mutant courts, seeing the discrimination against his people face to face.

Donnie is a genius, who decided to focus on criminology. 

 All of his findings and research are published under the name of his friend, April O'Neil, since no one would likely take the work of a mutant seriously.

Raph’s day job may be a trash man, but some nights he's in an illegal underground mutant fighting ring, and others he's a vigilante watching the streets of the mutant district. 

 I wonder if he has some sort of mask, or a suit?

Mikey is a radio DJ and aspiring comedian, running a pirate station as its face, or at least its voice. 

 His station is quite popular with the unregistered mutants living in the sewers.

Leo is based on a yellow-bellied slider, Donnie a spotted turtle, Raph a mississippi map turtle, and Mikey a reeve’s turtle.

While April and Casey have a large role, I’m not sure how big Karai’s will be just yet. I can guarantee she’ll be a constant presence, at least.
