“Saiyuuki Reload: Zeroin” The Character Promo

The production personnel, two major graphics (shown), and a character promotional video were announced on the official website of Saiyuuki Reload: Zeroin (Saiyuuki Reload: Even a Worm Arc). The animation, which is being created by LIDENFILMS, will premiere on AT-X on January 6 at 11:00 p.m., followed by Tokyo MX, BS11, and MBS.

Saiyuki Reload - Zeroin: l’anime andrà in onda da gennaio, online il primo trailer

La serie adatterà l’arco narrativo “Even a worm” del manga firmato da Kazuya Minekura.

Svelato un primo trailer di “Saiyuki Reload: Zeroin”, la nuova serie animata ispirata alla popolare serie di manga “Saiyuki” di Kazuya Minekura, che da gennaio 2022 porterà sulle tv giapponesi l’arco narrativo “Even a worm”, che ha inizio negli ultimi capitoli del 4° volume di “Saiyuki Reload”, accompagnando il manga fino alla conclusione.

L’adattamento è attualmente in lavorazione presso lo studio LIDENFILMS (Cells at Work! Black, Blade of the Immortal, Tokyo Revengers).

Questo sarà il terzo adattamento tratto da “Saiyuki Reload”, dopo la serie tv omonima, “Saiyuki Reload Gunlock” e l’OVA in tre parti “Saiyuki Reload: Burial”, prodotti fra il 2003 e il 2008 da STUDIO PIERROT (Akudama Drive, Black Clover). Il manga si piazza fra l’originale “Saiyuki” e il più recente “Saiyuki Reload: Blast” (attualmente in pausa a causa di problemi di salute dell’autrice) ed è stato serializzato fra il 2002 e il 2009, venendo raccolto in dieci volumi.

Della saga fanno parte anche i prequel “Saiyuki Gaiden” e “Saiyuiki Ibun”, editi come gli altri tre sempre da Dynit in Italia, che ha originariamente portato in tv anche la prima storica serie animata, realizzata nel 2000 sempre da STUDIO PIERROT.

Dalla serie a fumetti, liberamente ispirata al classico della letteratura cinese “Il Viaggio in Occidente”, sono stati tratti negli anni anche un film, due OVA legati a “Saiyuki Gaiden” e una serie televisiva di “Saiyuki Reload: Blast”, animata da PLATINUM VISION (Devils’ Line, Kono Oto Tomare!) nel 2017 e disponibile in streaming, sottotitolata, su Crunchyroll.

Hello Sage, I've been watching the Gunlock series lately, and I'm a bit annoyed with Sanzo's actions in episode 20, what's their relationship really like?Is their relationship very fragile? Hadn't they been adventuring together all this time?

Gunlock was made while the Even a Worm arc had barely started in the manga. While there are some similarities, such as Sanzo leaving, it's done in very different ways.

If you have the ability to watch it, check out Saiyuki Reload ZEROIN which essentially retcons the second half of Gunlock and tell the story more faithfully to the manga.

There's a much bigger reason in the original story as to why Sanzo leaves. And it makes a lot more sense.
