idk if you ever get asks and I’m going anon for the sake of IM SHY AS FUCK + I’m scared if people go after me for saying this when this is probably a below zero take but I wanna say your idea of ZeroIrisX poly is scrumptious and I love it, especially the idea of IrisX because sometimes I think about “man X4 plot would be better if Iris was in both routes- if she replaced double cause who give a fuck about him would that mean she has TWO boyfriends wait hold up” but also it’s just the perfect solution to all the fights I see over ZeroIris and XZero- we need not to go into ship discourse cause it’s never fun but I always liked both so seeing the poly makes me happy. I hope your bed is warm and cozy tonight thank you for the meal you cooked.

Haha fr tho, ZeroIrisX has so much potential as a ship, and it saddens me that it's barely explored in this 30+ old fandom due to usual shipping discourse and how capcom handled iris. I see no reason to fight over ZeroIris or ZeroX when these characters would be beyond chill with each other in canon. Like... Iris and X have the highest level of emotional intelligence and empathy among their kind, and you think they wouldn't be friends??? That's crazyyyy. I love thinking about the convos they could have, what Zero would think about them (and by extension himself), how events in canon would influence their dynamic. It's fun! It's like an untapped goldmine to me.

Also yah, I'd rather Iris had been in both routes instead of just Zero's. I don't think it's a crime to say Double is such a weak companion character for X. The fact that X can be the one to fight her brother TWICE and she isn't mentioned at all bugs me so bad.

Like I said, I am a ZeroIrisX poly shipper BELIEVER… so that being said I feel hella delusional about em. Specially the IrisX part of the relationship because I’ve seen NOTHING on them which makes me feel crazy. The headcanons I have span the ocean.

It also doesn’t help that it requires the very specific version of Iris and X4’s plot that is stuck in my brain dome. It’s 3am, and I’m just thinking about the doomed robots in my head.
