(huge spoilers for route 0 and second scenario!!)
something i just noticed about karua and nozomi...
is that their hair holds some really interesting details!!
looking at karua when she was younger, she obviously resembles nozomi a LOT. their hair is practically identical. the parts i'd most like to point out here though are the curls on her right (our left) and middle parts of her bangs. these are both things that are no longer present as she gets older, and continues to wear her hair down
her hair is a lot straighter here. as you can see, it's no longer the same, practically 1 to 1 with nozomi. the ends of her hair seem to pull downward a lot more, as opposed to the more upward pull of nozomi's
however, there's two times where karua still completely resembles nozomi, and that's when she has her hair up. both the right and middle curls are identical. though, her bangs no longer completely stretch across the left side of her face. nozomi actually has this little oddity present too...
...the first time takumi sees her. this is the exact style of bangs that is present both times that we see karua's hair up. it's also interesting to me that even though nozomi's are worn in low pigtails, karua seems to exclusively wears her hair in a high ponytail, if not down
it's been a little bit since i've played through route 0 (even though it's burned into my brain and heart forever), but if i recall correctly, both of the moments where karua's hair is in the ponytail, she's telling takumi about the outside world. i think it could be a representation of things that nozomi herself tells takumi during that time, little bits of knowledge that no one else in the SDU really seems to have learned during their times in the pods. well... for the most part, anyway. eito definitely does, but as opposed to nozomi, who wants to fight for humanity, he holds nothing but fear and contempt for the species. i think it's just more evidence of him absolutely having his cognitive functions and memories altered by a dissenting group
one last thing before i end this post!! i don't really have much analysis about this, other than that i think it shows how much she really did imprint on him:
but i think it's interesting that takumi's bangs are incredibly similar to nozomi's, hold the same downward pattern of karua's, and that even his ahoge pulls upward, just like nozomi's hair
