Weezer vs Zerwee

I think the fact that lots of Weezer fans give Billy Cobb hate isn’t fair.

Zerwee is a solid fan album and Billy Cobb is obviously a talented guy.

His instrumentals and vocals are well done.

Some Weezer fans say that Billy Cobb is just copying Weezer’s style and like so what if he is?

Shouldn’t it be good that they have inspired Billy Cobb to the level where he made two entire fan albums and it factored into his style?

Weezer is inspiring the next generation

Billy’s style isn’t really “just copying” Weezer. Artists have to play around with their style to see what sticks. Billy Cobb was inspired by Weezer and he made some good songs.
