You know what would be truly revolutionary in a Pokemon game? If they straight did not have a single gen 1 Pokemon in the game. That would be a fuckin power move.

BW technically did that…the post-game New Unova Pokedex brought in a bunch of older mons, but that regional dex (consisting SOLELY of entirely new Pokemon) was still a huge power move…and they remain the only Pokedex listings in the series that exclude the Pikachu, Geodude, Abra, Machop, Tentacool, Goldeen, and Magikarp families

the serious answer is that Lusamine actually keeps him around in spite of his horrendous fashion sense...i think she genuinely cares about him for reasons that make sense only to her, and she’s willing to let him get away with things she wouldn’t tolerate from most others. he may be a rat bastard who finds a way to betray and use her in every universe.....but he’s her rat bastard :’(

I would say disgusted. Perhaps in her younger days she would have appreciated it, but by the time Sun and moon starts, her aesthetic seems to be pretty narrowly fixed on clean, elegant and white. I mean look at everything related to the Aether foundation. And didn’t she flip about Lillie and gladion getting different clothes?

while her aesthetic does seem narrowly fixed on clean, elegant, and white for the most part (what with Aether Paradise being almost entirely white and gold, and it being almost clinical in its cleanliness, and us being told that Lillie’s outfit, a frilly white dress, was picked out by Lusamine), i don’t think everything has to be completely white all the time for her...i mean even her own outfit has a fair amount of black and green in it. she’s kind of a fashionista (or..REALLY a fashionista), and i don’t think she’d limit herself to just one color. idk i feel like her definition of “beauty” is less narrow than most people think, even mid-game...if only because she’s got Pokemon like Pyukumuku, Slowpoke, and Magmar on prominent display in her ice dungeon, her hyperfixation, the Ultra Beasts, are predominantly bulbous, horrific alien creatures, and her ideal self, Mother Beast, is a horrible eldritch monstrosity that is black and slimy and covered in a billion crystal eyes lmao-- and i feel like her definition of “style” might be similarly less narrow

she doesn’t really ever “flip” over Lillie and Gladion getting new clothes in the game (though i imagine she was pissed, just given her described insistence on dressing them herself always when they still lived with her)-- only real Fashion Opinions she gives herself in the game are “must you be so untidy?” in regards to Gladion’s outfit, which is covered in rips and tears thanks to Type: Null, aaaaand “your style is a bit wanting” in regards to Hau’s outfit, which is.....basically just casual beachwear that he most likely picked out himself for comfort rather than to make any sort of fashion statement (given that he’s an 11-year-old lmao)

personally, i think “elegant” is the main thing that really matters to her... i imagine she’s into anything stylish and striking that’s made of fine materials. SO leading back to Ghetsis’ outfit, i feel like she might be put off by how bulky that ridiculous neckpiece makes him look and honey those clogs have got to go and maybe make the cut of this robe more form-fitting so you don’t look like a fuckin cadbury egg but that fabric.........hmm definitely a striking fashion statement.......truly high end.........that daring pattern and those colors.....!!! now this is innovation.....what fashion line is this biiiiiiitch sign me the fuck up
