I’m so stoked to be able to get this on the road! Hope you guys are excited as well.
You had all witnessed the first trial and the very first punishment - a twisted facsimile of justice that left nobody satisfied and the group noticeably smaller. And so it was that the party scarce noticed the elevator doors clicking open and everyone walking in until all fourteen of you were stood inside in absolute silence. The lift rose, and rose, and rose for what felt like days. Eventually, the doors slid open, and...
“Eyy, wassup, homeskillets?”
There he was again, but you would swear there was something sheepish to his unchanging expression this time.
“So, uh, lemme just confide in you for a minute! Originally, there was meant to be more than one floor to the building. But... I kinda got worked up, and super drunk, and to make a long story short, I kinda messed up the lift.”
He bounced aside, revealing a slightly different hall to the one you were expecting.
“The reason I bring this up is that I managed to get the route up to the second floor working. No thanks to you assholes, but whaddya expect? Anyway, lift now goes up and down between floors, y’know, how lifts normally work. I haven’t got round to fixing the floors above this, but yeah, I’ll chip away at that problem.”
And with that, the doll vanished into the ether again. Good riddance.
Your handbooks ping, letting you know your map has been updated! Time to go explore.
Same as last chapter, you can now investigate the second floor and its dome! We really encourage you to get familiar with the area; just ask for investigation chats in the Discord or send in your investigation asks!
It had been a quiet summer so far. A very quiet summer, in fact - day-to-day life continued without drama, without anything changing in your routine, and it seemed almost as if everything went as normal. The Pokémon themselves, even, seemed to be enjoying the lazy summer heat in much the same way - the same schedule day in, day out.
And then the letter arrived. A letter promising some unreal opportunity, citing your remarkable talent as the reason for your selection! What a wonderful letter it was. An invitation to... wait.
What was it again?
Funny, you can’t seem to quite recall.
Well, it was certainly something exciting - an offer you were glad to accept. And so you counted down the days until... something? It was something important, you know that much. And so you whiled away the days aimlessly until the night before, preparing and getting ready for whatever it was. You remember going to bed early just to be ready, and then...
Groggily, you came to your senses, cheek pressed to a hard wooden floor. Light streams through tall windows onto your face. It takes a moment for it to register at first, but you very quickly realise this is definitely not where you went to sleep.
As you take a cursory look around, the first thing you notice is fifteen other people, some awake, some lying on the ground much as you are. Secondly, the room seems clean, at the very least, maybe aside from a few scuffs and claw marks on the floor.
There’s a raised stage at one end of the room, some boxes and chairs down the sides, a computer, some potted plants, and... oh dear.
The other end of the room is a rather large and rather heavily barricaded set of double doors. Looks like you’re not getting out of here in that direction any time soon.
Feel free to start threading either on Tumblr or on the Discord! If you want to nosey about, feel free to send in asks or investigate on Discord.
Today’s the day you’re finally getting your Starter Pokémon... Except this place you’ve woken up isn’t your room. The fluorescent lights on the ceiling burn into your bleary eyes as you sit up, surrounded by 15 other confused teenagers.
Let the killing game begin.
Zetsubokemon (Zetsumon for short, if you’d rather) is a Danganronpa x Pokémon roleplay game being run on a mixture of Skype and Tumblr.
We have events, battles, a mascot (who knew), and a veritable wonderland of places to explore!
The game is planned to run on a two-week schedule, but this is flexible if it doesn’t suit.
Feel free to ask any questions you have via our asks, but please check our links first to make sure your question isn’t answered there!
Apps close December 31st!

Days go by with no appearance from the substitute. Nearly a week, and he still hasn’t appeared to offer his usual incentives. Nothing seems to be happening, and so the world seems to have come to a halt. The cycles of daily life continue on and on, and as much as you hate to admit it, it’s all a little boring. Nothing happening day after day after day after-
Then, one afternoon, you hear a faint yell for help.
Frantically searching the halls, you notice the absence of Lucy and Natsuki in your search party. Maybe they’re asleep, maybe-
Entering the auditorium, you find something rather horrific. The stage lights have fallen, and underneath are two familiar forms. Rushing over to try and help, the search party successfully pull free Lucy from the wreckage, thankfully mostly unharmed. But when you go to check on Natsuki...
You find their ribcage brutally shattered by the lights, in a horrific bloody mess. There’s no surviving that.
By now, the process is the same old rigmarole. The lift goes up, the doors click open on a new floor...
And, as you expected, there he is.
Something about him seems... different, though.
“Uh... heya, folks. So... The power’s back up for this floor. I’m still working on the plant, but I’m getting pretty close to getting it back to full capacity. Sorry for taking so long.”
As it wiggles like it’s about to vanish, the substitute pauses.
“So... uh, see you around. Later, I guess.”
It’s gone, with less of a dramatic flourish, and more of a... anticlimactic vanishing.
Your handbooks make that characteristic ping! New areas have been added to your map.
Investigation time! Let’s crack on with it, then, shall we? Hope you all have fun exploring this chapter! Remember, you can shoot us asks here, or ask for a chat on the Discord!
The reality of it had settled in. People were in danger outside. The despair was crippling, but a sad, hollow facsimile of daily life continued - wake up, breakfast, go for a stroll, lunch, fake normal conversation as if everything’s OK, dinner, bed, wake up...
And it was shortly after breakfast that this cyclical, rhythmic everyday was interrupted, not with a bang, but being gathered in the dome.
...How could this have happened again?
“Bing bong! You have three hours to investigate. Afterwards, please group in front of the elevator on the first floor.”
The substitute had been quiet, and too polite for its own good. You reasoned that clearly, it meant nothing good. Silence from him usually meant some form of motive. Something dangerous.
This suspicion was proven to be dead on the money when you returned to your dorm room to find your computer flashing a mail icon.
When you opened it, the saccharine, irritating tone of the substitute played over a black screen. “Hey there! Welcome to your personal motive video. Betcha you’re curious now, right? Riiiiiight? Well, let’s just get on with it.”
The video was now of your family. Your closest friend. Your pet. The person or animal outside of the building you hold most dear. They’re sitting in a room with large windows behind them. A brief hello, and then a show of pride. So proud of you for making it to SERVA. So, so proud.
There is a sudden, horrible noise. Something that sounds like the sky itself is splitting. The camera wobbles, a look of terror on your loved one’s faces as a siren begins to blare. They run.
The camera topples to the ground.
A loud, monstrous shriek. The distant sound of explosions, of thunder, of agony. Fire burns outside the window, and then the window shatters into pieces. A tall, shadowy figure looms behind the window. Too tall, too lanky, too... twisted to be human.
There’s a sudden brilliant light, and the video dissolves into static.
